Last week I had a positive result on a home pregnancy test, now today i took one in the afternoon and got a negative. Which one should I go by?
And just a question...can a test turn positive after 10 minutes and be correct for you?

I'm 10 days past due date for period, and am feeling dizzy out of the blue, having frequent headaches.

You might be pregnant. Home tests arent always accurate though. If you look at the result after the 10 minutes, its not accurate usually. You gotta look at it when you are supposed to because if not, the test is actually still working and could be wrong. I would take one more just to see what it says, and then call the doctor just to double check. You cant go wrong with a blood test, they are the most accurate anyway. Good luck.

My guess is no that you're not pregnant. If you have any amount of the HCG hormone in your urine, it wouldn't take 10 minutes for the test turn to a positive.
However, like others have said- it is best to go to the doctor and have a pregnancy test done. If you are worried about being pregnant or stressed or whatever that could be the cause of your period being late too.
good luck!

home pregnancy tests are often not too accurate especially when very early in the pregnancy. Either wait like another 3-5 days and take a couple more tests or go to a free clinic or your doctors

pregnancy tests very rarely give a false positive, were they the same brand? After 10 minutes results are void

pregnancy hormone is at concentrated level first thing in the morning and gets weaker throughout the day so the morning test is more accurate.do not rely on test that has been left longer than recommended by the manufacture as this can give a false result

postitive after 10 min no, also you can have a false negative but not USALLY a false postive.
But if it said postive after 10 min (and its past what the instructions say on the test) chances are it may not be right.

home pregnancy test results are only valid for a certain amount of time (it specifies in the directions for the test) . . . to be sure, you should go to your doctor and get tested there . . .
