Well, she certainly has the right to continue with her life. If she choose to be with you, then it is her choice you are both adults. However, I am not sure how long she has been a widow, but you need to consider how vulnerable she may be. If you just want to make love to her, and that is all, make it clear to her.

if she is done grieving for loss and is ready to move on with her life and you have been dating a while I see no problem.

As long as you're not the one who killed her husband, it's perfectly acceptable. If she's the one who killed her husband, don't fall asleep afterwards.
