Yes. Babies use up a lot of the iron supply in your body, and short term anemia is very common. I'm 31 weeks pregnant with twins. I've been fighting anemia for some time. Along with my prenatals, I've been taking 2 iron pills daily. Also, I upped my red meat intake, my high-iron veggies like spinach, and am trying very hard to get back to a normal level. It's exhausting when your iron is low.

yep, happens to lots of us. A severe drop might mean you are bleeding though, so make sure you talk to your doctor about it. (soon) I have always been border line anemic, I can't ever give blood cause i'm just short on the amount of iron you need. Once I got pregnant I started feeling dizzy more often and weaker.. the doctor said it was because of my iron. On that note, don't worry. Just make sure to take your prenatals and if its necissary the doc will give you an iron supplement as well. Best of luck to you

from what I've heard, it's normal . . . I was already slightly anemic when I got pregnant, so my doctor put me on iron supplements in addition to my prenatal vitamin to make sure my iron levels stayed up . . .

Oh yeah with both of my pregnancies.

Redheads are more susceptible to anemia. It stinks but it's true.

With my first, my daughter, I had to take my vitamin and 1 iron pill extra a day.

With my second, my son, I had to take my vitamin and 3 extra iron pills a day.
