Pregnancy - September 2006

When I gave the news to my hubby and kids that i was pregnant , my oldest daugther told me she wanted a girl since my oldest son is boy and the smallest too ... So I told her that it migth have a girl, but that it coul be a boy but ever since that day she told everyone that I was expecting a girl & she was sure it was a girl , I try to explain that it is not always what we want, that if it was a boy or girl she will have to love them no matter what ... Last week i have my 16 week sonogram and I took her to see the baby & our surprise was that it is a GIRL she was very ha ppy and excited about the news , she even said I told you it was a girl god told me it was a girl.... So then at the car I ask her why did she said that GOD told her.. when she was praying one day at nigth and she ask him for the new bay to be a girl.. So some one told me kids migth have this special feeling on babies because when I was pregnant of my little boy she was also sure it was a boy ..Can this b possible?

I have a ultrasound in about 3 weeks to find out the sex of the baby...they told me to go in with a full-bladder...why??? what if my bladder is not full..??

mine hurt alot at the moment im only 6 weeks into my pregnacy and the pains come and go but it really hurts and the doc just told me its normal. ive had them for the last 2 weeks now and its depressing as i had a miscarriage 12 weeks ago and i had the same pains in the same places. am i just stressing for nothing and did anyone else have the same experiances?
i have really bad period pains normally so im used to the pain im just worried that its not going to turn out as i want it to, me and my partner want this baby as we did the other. i would be grateful of any advice and my appologies if you have just answerd a question on this subject from me but it was removed for being neither a question or and answer apparently!!! ah well never mine hope you can help put my mind at ease as my partner works away during the week and this making me paranoid.

i had all the symptoms of preg, including passing out, naseous, nipples tenderness, i even developed anemia, while taking iron for months prior to developing it. urinating a lot, and exhasuted. i was a month late on my pd. when it came it was really light than heavy than light again. i go on thur for the preg blood test exam results. after i got my pd i still feel mild cramping sometimes like if i'm going to get my pd again but its very light, i took two hpt test b4 getting my pd both were neg, when i went to to the doc they also did one and it was neg. so the doc decided to do the blood preg test. i would be happy if iwas preg, but is there still a possibilty of me being preg?

I read that ur mucous plug will start to break down, which will create a bloody stringy show in the undies, way before u have any labor signs or dilation of the cervix. Did this occur to any of u women before u had any labor signs?

I am 6 weeks pregnant. I took a week before I told the father. During that time I picked two names I really love, One for a boy (Christian Philip) and one for a girl (Lily Renee) when the father found out about the baby he decided he wanted to help name the babies and that he didn't like the names. Is it selfish of me to be mad about it and want to keep the names I chose? this is his 3rd child and it is my first.....part of me feels like i'm selfish........but I'm so attached to the names already......Please no rude comments just genuine thoughts.

Is it normal for a guy to get distant. My bf says i make everything out to be his fault when we get into it. Like today we fought because i brought up his not coming to bed till almost 4 this morning. But i get tired of going to be alone and getting up alone. Am i wrong to feel like that. And i mean im a day over due so far and so emotions are running wild. Why cant he see that. Why cant he understand that i need him more now then i did at the beginning of this pregnancy. I was just curious... for those of you who are further along - When watching your belly & the baby move have any of you ever noticed the baby "practice breathing" ?? I sometimes watch my belly & can see a rhythmic pulse right around where his mid-section would be & I'm wondering if it is him practicing his breathing. I know they say they do that - but have any of you 'seen it'??? Just curious!

well effaced (she didn't tell me what %) she just said I was very tender and soft. The past day and a half I've had mild to strong contractions for about 3 hrs each time lasting anywhere from 30sec. to 60 sec. long and between 3 - 4 min. apart. I as well (not to get graphic) have had diaharrea as well. At the moment though I have no contractions to one an hr. if that. What's the deal? Has this happened to anyone? Personal experiences please. How much longer do you think I have until labor?What should I do? I've had 4 hrs. of sleep in 2 days! Is there anything I can do to speed the process? PLEASE HELP ALL (non-ignorant) SUGGESTIONS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED! Thank you for your help!

What changes go on "down there" in early pregnancy. I am TTC and I have noticed that it feels different down there. (it could be me paying more attention and having never noticed things before) I don't have a disease or infection so I know it isn't that. I was just wondering if any of you pregnant women have noticed anything different in that department. Thank you for all your answers♥

Hi I recently found out that i am pregnant with my first child. I had an U/S done at by my calculations 4 weeks and 4 days. And all that was found was a gesational sac, normal shape implanted perfectly. I have had breast tenderness, fatigue, increased urination. On US i didn't have a yolk sac yet. Should i worry or was this way too early? On Blood work my first Hcg 20 DPO was 444 and 2 days later was 1369. Has anyone ever had a similar situation to find out everything is really fine? I have had no cramping no bleeding no backaches nothing indicative of a miscarriage and i am now a little over 5 weeks. Thanks for any help through this confusion.

I know that worrying isn't good for the baby and I try so hard BUT this is my 8th pregnancy with only 1 living child. I lost my last baby at 20 weeks due to her umbilical cord being wrapped around her neck 3 times. The losses before her were all between 6-9 weeks due to low progesterone. I would go in to see my doctor and there would be no heartbeat, no other sighns of loss-No bleeding or cramping at all. Now they have addressed my hormone problem with my last and current pregnancy with progesterone which seems to have helped now that i'm 13 weeks but I still can't stop worrying that I have lost the baby again and I'm just not having any signs of it. I don't know what to do, I even wake up in the middle of the night thinking of it. Any ideas of how I can seetle myself down? I see my high risk OB every 2 weeks.
