As I told another, you will almost never get a false positive result on a pregnancy test (unless you have recently miscarried). I would definately suggest that you see your OBGYN, even if you are not pregnant. If your period was normanl up until just a few months ago, than there is definately something going on.

Some pregnancy pils actually produce pregnancy hormones which would give you a false positive result. Just in case I would stop with the pill and go get a blood test as these are much more reliable

Go have blood work done. Having continued your birth control should not have hurt the fetus, but discontinue it until you're sure whether you're pregnant or not. Generally, any positive result on any test should be taken as a positive.

Go to the doctor and get a blood test they are very accruate. That's how I found out. Both of my at home tests were negative. And I'm pregnant. Good Luck!!

It is not uncommon not to have a period while on birth control. However if you think your are pregnant get a test from a doctor they are more accurate than the drug store kind

False negatives are more common than false positives. You need to get to a doc before you take your next pill. It's not a good thing to continue taking the pill if you are pregnant.
