I read that ur mucous plug will start to break down, which will create a bloody stringy show in the undies, way before u have any labor signs or dilation of the cervix. Did this occur to any of u women before u had any labor signs?

Yes your mucus plug can leak out for several days to several weeks before you have any signs of labor. It's no big deal really, unless you're leaking too early. If this concerns you, check with your doc. She/he will check it out and talk with you about your concerns.

Not for me. I went to pee (which ended up being my water breaking at the same time I guess). And immediatley after I urinated I got contractions. They were at 5 min apart in 30min. I was fully dialated and starting to push in 3 hours, ended up having a c-section though.
Everyone is different, some have the plug come out and some (like myself) do not and some have long drawn out labor while others just quickly happen.

Many women lose the plug over time and often in the middle of the night when getting up to go the bathroom in the dark and never even see it. I lost mine weeks before any labor signs.

Yes, but barely. My plug popped (literally sounded like a cork popping) as I was going to bed. Water broke a couple of minutes later and contractions went straight to 3 minutes apart. Baby born less that two hours later. No previous signs of labor before that - honestly!

I lost my mucus plug 3 wks before I gave birth..I had to be induced into labor. I was 4 wk 6 days when I had my baby.

With both of my earlier pregnancies I lost my mucous plug about two weeks before I went into labor. Both times I called the doctor and she said it was completley normal. It's gross looking... but normal.

The way it worked with me - after the plug came out, I had the baby within 24 hours! By the way, I had 5 sons!!!

I just got out of my bed to use the bathroom, when my water broke. That's when my mucus plug came out also.

oh yea, last time around, it was december 12 when the plug came out, the kid was born january 13

With my first child i had a show (mucus plug) the day befour i went into labour but i didn't with my second child.
