So I told her that it migth have a girl, but that it coul be a boy but ever since that day she told everyone that I was expecting a girl & she was sure it was a girl , I try to explain that it is not always what we want, that if it was a boy or girl she will have to love them no matter what ... Last week i have my 16 week sonogram and I took her to see the baby & our surprise was that it is a GIRL she was very ha ppy and excited about the news , she even said I told you it was a girl god told me it was a girl.... So then at the car I ask her why did she said that GOD told her.. when she was praying one day at nigth and she ask him for the new bay to be a girl.. I think kids can sense things....I wanna share my story too...It was Easter and my 5 yr old cousin told me that I was going to have a baby. I laughed at him because I had suffered from infertility for the past 10 yrs. He came up with this out of the blue...so I didn't think anything else about it...well 2 months or so later, my husband and I found out we were indeed expecting! And this baby was conceived without fertility treatments...it just happened. Now he tells me I am having a boy....but I got 2 more weeks until the ultrasound! I praise God for the gift he has given me and my husband! Good luck through out your pregnancy!

How wild! My hubby and I are trying for another child (too soon to test yet) and my son (4-years-old) told me he talked to God in prayer and was told he was going to be a big brother to a baby sister. The same weekend, my dad told me he had a dream and I was pregnant with a girl. Very wild. God is God...he can do whatever he wants. If he wants to talk to people in some way, he will. No one can say it isn't possible because everything is possible with God. I wish you the best on your pregnancy.

Honestly, I don't believe this is possible. I don't believe anyone has a special feeling on babies. You are blessed with what God gives you. The sex of a baby is dependent on which of your hubby's sperm cells containing which chromosome (X for a girl and Y for a boy) fertilized your egg. It is just a coincidence that your daughter guessed you are having a girl.

Sometimes kids can sense the sex of the baby. An Old Wives tale is also that when you are pregnant, and hold a baby boy and very fascinated by you that it would be a boy.

I don't think it is something to be worried about

Sure it's possible. Kids are very intuitive. I also believe that God told her during prayer. God talks to us all the time, kids frequencies are less staticy than adults.

I thought they only determined the sex of the baby at 20 weeks? No one can determine the sex of a baby except a sonogram.
