i'm 15wks and i've lost 7 pounds so far. i have no appetite and i'm sure i'm still not gaining any weight. i looked it up online and the websites said all women need to gain weight in pregnancy no matter if they are overweight or not.

i mentioned this to my doc and they blew me off, my mom warns that she gained 40lbs in pregnancy and never lost it. i think people are dismissing me because they see i'm overweight and ASSUME i'll gain more weight then i need to.

OK - maybe I am crazy - but something the sonographer said this morning really concerns me.

I am 6w5d. I am a healthy 35-year-old with no pre-existing conditions or genetic issues.

I have been reading a lot about the Down's Syndrome risks of pregnancy at my age - and I am pretty sure I read somewhere that the position of the baby in the sac could be meaningful to determining if there is a chromosonal disorder.

Today I had a sonogram. The doctor ordered one to be sure of my due date and to see the heartbeat. I am pretty sure that he requested the sonogram as part of standard procedure - not because he thought something was wrong.

BUT then the sonographer made a remark the baby was "very high up there" in the sac. So, when we were looking at the picture, it was at the tippy top of the sac.

Does this have a meaning? Where the baby is in the sac?

Maybe I am being silly. I just don't want to call my doctor about this and I am not supposed to see him again until the f

Went out to party it was my birthday and i woke up with my bestfriends boyfriend. I dont remeber much about what happened that night and to make matters worse i live with her boyfriend , two other guy friends from high school since i have always been a tom boy and her. I am know almost 5 months and starting to show and dont know what to do and this is killing me. I was supposed to start my period on the 4th of this month and I still haven't gotten it! I have taken 2 pg test and both negative, could I still be pregnant?? I dont know what's going on and I am trying not to stress cause I heard that makes it delay even more. What should I do????

I have read in all my books that laxatives are safe to use in moderation during pregnancy. I don't want to bother my dr and my next appt is in a week. Have any of you ladies taken it during pregnancy with the ok from your dr? I have also tried all the fiber rich foods along with fruits and veggies....it just isn't working! Thanks for your help.

Earlier this morning I asked for prayer for me and my husband that this month we would conceive, as this is the pregnancy part of yahoo answers....

I got a lot of awesome feedback, well some jerk reported me for asking for prayer. Its not a big deal, but the encourageing feed back was so sweet and now my question is deleted. I wish I knew who would do such a thing. All I stated was if there are other women out there trying to conceive my blessings go out to you. Its wasn't rude or anything. Why are people so immature?

I was wondering. For about 2 or 3 days now, I've had excessive saliva. I've had to spit nonstop and I don't know what's up with it. I heard that it can be a symptom of pregnancy, but is that true? I've also had to use the bathroom like crazy lately and have been sick to my stomach. I'm only 3 or 4 days from when my period is due, so I don't know if pregnancy symptoms would kick in yet. Could anyone help me with this?

My due date is january 16, now i am trying to figure out when i concieved. i had sex at the end of march sometime and then i think i had my period around april 11, or 12 and it only lasted 6 days instead of 7 days. i then had unprotected sex with a different partner april 21-30. my question is if my due date is january 16 when did i concieve? did i get pregnant at the end of march or april?

Ah, well this is driving me crazy. I hope you guys can help. From the 8th - 12th, me and this guy were messing around. I had ovulated on the 30th of august to somewhere around the 1st. I know this because I get light spotting around that time. When me and the guy were together, we didnt engage in sex, but close to it as possible. I'm worried I may be pregnant.
*** He fingered me and although he never went "in" (just rubbed up around the area) he MIGHT have had dry precum on his fingers. Also, before he fingered me he always rubbed against my stomach or panties first.
*** We were in a hot tub together and although it wasnt hot, could the sperm have swam into me? Please keep in mine I had shorts on.
Now, taken all this into consideration, am I pregnant? My period is supposed to come today and I am usually very regular. I'm so worried. Plus, from what I have read, eggs only live 24-48 hrs. If I ovulated on the 30th-2nd of this month, am I safe? I sure hope so.
Please help.

hey had sex around my ovulation time, have symptoms of PG, sore breasts, mild cramping (very faint), eatting alot, peeing alot, heartburn, very gassy, very very tired (wanna nap) and feeling faint and dizzy when standing still. What do u think? does it sound like AF PMS or PG signs.

I took a blood pregnancy test on Mon. (you can refer to my thread posted on 9/10) that came out negative. It was early on - the day after I missed my period - but, I assumed it would be accurate since blood tests can detect pregnancy a week after conception. But, I also read that HCG levels don't rise early with some women, and it's best to re-test. But, does that apply to blood tests, too? It should have picked up at least something, being taken AFTER my missed period, right?

The only reason I'm wondering is that I'm getting bloating, cramps, and tiredness, but it's still not arrived. I skip periods quite a bit, but normally, I will not get PMS symptoms if I'm going to skip. My boobs have been sore for almost 2 weeks. I've never skipped more than 2 periods in a row. I found out that my insurance doesn't cover lab tests. I have enough for the blood test, granted it is not very expensive (awaiting the bill), but not enough for another. I shouldn't need one, right? There's also no PP clinic w/in an hour of here. I made an appt. with my gyno for next week to try to work something out with birth control, to get my cycle on track. I could bring this up then, but I was hoping someone could tell me more about blood tests. From what I've read, I'm worrying needlessly, but I've never felt this way, physically, in my life. I've also taken evening primrose oil for the past several months, which is supposed to help balance hormones naturally - I quit on Saturday. I don't think this could have a bearing on the test. My question is: is it necessary to do another blood test?
