Typically, the blood test is more accurate than the home test. I can only think of 2 reasons:
1) they mixed up your test with someone else's
2) you miscarried, and your hormone levels dropped.
You can take another home test, and if it is positive again, go see your doctor and tell him/her what happened.

Blood test is more accurate then a urine test.
If you are gaining a couple of pounds a week you might want to have your thyroid checked.
Even if you were pregnant, you wouldn't start really gaining that type of weight until later in the pregnancy.
If you still have douts about being pregnate, I would contact your dr.

Yes, blood tests can be wrong if they are done too soon. Have you missed your period? If so by how long? Don't go by symptoms you have your mind in the frame that you are pregnant. I would wait another week and have another blood pregnancy test done. The missing the period goes along with your diagnosis and you didn't state the status of that.

Pregnancy test is only 95% accurate. And if you take it day or two before or after you are suppose to, it can be wrong. this has happened to me before. eating more and some other symptoms but it turned out that i was not pregnant. tension or stress can effect the test as well.

there are many defining factors in both tests like are you late, how late, have you had your period, are they regular to begin with...bla bla bla...of course a blood test can be wrong. Mine was. I took an HPT...positive...took a blood test..negative...my girl is almost 9 now. wait a couple weeks...take another. and don't stress out because if you do, you won't get your period even if you are not pregnant!

Only if the lab made a mistake- human error. I would call your doctor and bring the pregancy test with him to show him your concerns!!
You could be having a false pregancy... I had one.. it's not much fun where your bodies start making hormo's for no reason and your body thinks it's pregant. But you still have to see the doctor! I take birth control to control it.
Good Luck

Wow, false positives are very very rare on a home test. Are you on fertility treatments? Blood test are not wrong, you did have it at the doctors office right? How late are you from your period? I have never heard of a false negative on a blood test.

I would ask for a re-test just to be sure, if you haven't noticed any heavy bleeding (miscarriage) then there is a chance that the blood test was not correct or your doctor may need to run some more tests to see if something else may be wrong.
Good luck!

from what i understand the blood test is more accurate than the home pregnancy test. You could be feeling symptoms because you have it built in your head that you are pregnant.

I would go back to the doctor and see what's going on. I am under the opinion you may have had a miscarriage, also. Labs do make mistakes too.
Good Luck
