im almost 9 week preg and been smoking. i cut back alot........i finally quit but now im wonderin if i caused harm yto my baby.
the doc said to cut back until i quit

I am 3cm dilated at this point and all the way thinned out. My doctor stripped/swept my membranes at the last appt... does that mean I already lost my plug in order for her to do that?

All at once my feet and ankles have started swelling. Seems to me it is a bit early for this to start. It happens when I sit down, even if only for a short time. I'm just afraid something is wrong. Anyone have any advice?

The 13th was my due date for this baby, when I went in to the doctor- she said that she will put me on the induction list. I asked when most likely that will happen and she said this next tuesday. When I left I didnt really think about asking how that works. Im guessing every doctor is different... but does the doctors office call you to arrange that, does the hospital? Im going to call and leave a message with the doctor today, but they arnt open yet. So I just wanted to know what happened with other people. Just curious.

i'm making my baby registry and i think i've covered a lot of the stuff i need, but i'm just curious what baby products you couldn't have lived without.
i have the basics, playard, nursery decor, bottles, diaper bags, baby bath stuff, etc....
i'm looking for products that may not seem like a basic, but you used all the time!!

So I ask this question because I have used this one twice once yesterday afternoon and again this morning. I took it twice because the first time I didn't think it was reading positive so I took a shower and when I got out I was wrapping the test to toss it out and I notice a faint second line. I don't think you would get anything if you weren't pregnant so I figured I probably was. Today should be the day I start my period so I took the test again this morning to see if it would read different and it looks the same way. Two lines one really dark the other very faint. The directions do say the second line may be lighter but this just seems VERY light. The only reason I ask is I wonder if anyone else has taken this test or one similar on had the same results. With my other 2 kids I used the more expensive testers and the results were very clear.

I do plan on making a appointment with my doctor today, but I am impatient and I am wondering if I should go buy an ept test?

hi, i have had two children - now 5 1/2 and 4. No problems before of during the 1st two babies. Since then i have had 3 miscarriages - 2 in 2004 (6 weeks 5 weeks) and 1 in feb (8 weeks) this year - 2 of which have only been detected when i have gone for a scan.

I found out today that i'm pregnant again and am really worried i will lose the baby. I know i'm lucky that i have two children already but i'm with a new partner now and we really want a baby together (i have already had one loss with him).

i also have a chromosomal disorder which doesn't affect me in any way other than it may cause a miscarriage. It was only discovered when my daughter - who has learning delay was tested. Although they dont think the chromosome is the cause of this as i have no problems.

i am currently awaiting the results of test to see if there are any other problems as i have had 3 losses. but they dont think anything of any signifcance will come back

is there anyone out there who has had the same problems and come through okay - i've also been told to take asprin each day just in case - has this worked for anyone else and what are the chances of it working for me? I alos get quite stressed with my daughter - her problems make her quite a handful - does anyone have any suggestions on how to stay chilled or generally how to stay pregnant - i'm desperate here!!

I'm also 24 years old if this helps!

i am using the mirena i have had it since nov 05, since i have had it i have had regular periods just slightly lighter than normal, my period is either due anyday now or i am about a week late i lost track. could it be that i am pregnant? your help would be apprieciated i know more people seem to be getting pregnant on it now. but i guess i am just feeling a bit paranoid i already have 4 kids i know that i was told it is the next best thing to being sterilised and i know that my mum was sterilised and got pregnant!!

Did it work for you? How far along were you.... were you dilated or effaced at all? How long did you do it and how long did it take before you felt a contraction?

Im four days past my due date and 3cm dilated, completely thinned out.. babies head is down and ready. Last night we went for like an hour walk then went to bed.. I woke up and lost my mucus plug.... so I was thinking about trying this. I am not really feeling contractions and I didnt with my first pregnancy either... so trying to get this started.

I am 19 years old, and this is my first pregnancy. I'm happy with my SO, we wanted to have a baby and we're both ready for it, but for some reason I find myself depressed, like I'm going to fail miserably at motherhood. I'm worried about everything, and every time I make mistakes it makes me cry and think I'm a horrible person. Part of me thinks maybe I am not ready for this, but at this point there's no backing down (definitely don't believe in abortion/adoption for this situation). Is it normal to have these feelings of self-doubt and depression?

I might add that I've had no desire to do Anything at all, besides sleep and eat and cry...

A little over a month ago I was due to have my period. I thought I had, even though it was only three days of spotting. This month I was a bit late and thought I started again, just to find the tiniest bit of spotting only lasting a day. Is it possible that I could be pregnant? Is it even possible to have even the littlest bit of spotting during pregnancy?
