I love the name, but after the song came out, I don't know how popular it will get. I brought the name up to family and my mom brought up the bible, and everyone else said the popularity of it will soon spike due to the song. Any opinions?

Some ideas are Joshua, Charles (nn-Charlie but definetly NOT Chuck/Chucky), and Nicholas.

Richmond is a family inspired name, a combination of my father (and brother), Raymond and my husband's dad (as well as great-grandfather, brother, and nephew), Richard.

We would like to name our son after family members but don't want him to suffer through life with a "bad" name. Does this name conjour up any negative images? Are there any obvious ways for a child to make fun of this name?
