Baby Names - October 2007

[Selected]: All categories Pregnancy & Parenting Baby Names

We are expecting our second baby in January.

For a boy we are thinking about the names Nathan or Jayden for first name. Don't have a clue about middle name yet.

For a girl we are thinking about either Alyson, Kaylee or Brittany. Middle name will either be Elizabeth, Mary, Michelle or Rose.

Our 1,5 year old daughter is called Rachel Madeline. Sugestions are welcome.

When I hear the name Briella, I first think of Gabriella and then it makes me think of fresh, peace, and relaxation. It brings like a calming feeling to the room.

My husband and I are planning for a baby and if we have a girl we have agreed on one name only, Savannah.

Our last name is Essary and we'd like the middle name to sound good with both names.

I like the middle names:
Lynn
Marie
Renae
Elizabeth

My husband really doesn't like any of those middle names. He keeps saying he likes Joe as a middle name, I am sure he is joking but it is frustrating that we can't agree. We want the name to be good for a baby and a classy adult.

Other names I like are Catherine Elizabeth Essary (named after my mom and step mom).
Catherine Sue-ann Essary (after my mom and his mom).
Elizabeth Sue-ann Essary
Sue-ann Elizabeth Essary
and Lauren Sue Essary.

Do you think any of those names would be better then Savannah (insert middle name here) Essary?

Thanks!

My cousins little boy is called Jay but he is about 3/4 years old and I have only seen him a couple of times. Do you think it would be ok if i name my little boy Jayden? I dont plan on shortening it to Jay. Or do you think its too similar and I should choose something different even though I don't see him much?

have any of you had problems with people shortening your childs name when you dont want them to? did you confront them or do you accept it? I like the names Tomas and Alexander but don't like them shortened to Tom and Alex. How can you stop people shortening them, or cant you?

where do you from?

2007-10-14 17:05:05 · 17 answers · asked by Ina 1

Gwenyth Lindsay Anders (We want to call her Gwen and we are set on the 'en' spelling as apposed to 'yn' so we misspelled Gwyneth)

Sara Genevieve Anders (We love the name 'Sadie', but we had a hard time imagining a very successful adult with the name Sadie so we wanted it to be a nickname. We took the H off because that is the way my mother-in-law's name is spelled)

These names aren't completely set in stone, but as of now, we love them. I just wanted opinions...

Thanks in advance,
Claudia

Yeah, I'm just wondering. I like the names Jayden & Cody for a boy. and Nichole & Jade for a girl.

So what about you?

...boy's names starting with the letter B.
Any name is fine, but I prefer something a bit unique, rather than names like (ex. Billy, Bobby, Ben...etc)

Thanks in advance!
