My husband and I are planning for a baby and if we have a girl we have agreed on one name only, Savannah.

Our last name is Essary and we'd like the middle name to sound good with both names.

I like the middle names:
Lynn
Marie
Renae
Elizabeth

My husband really doesn't like any of those middle names. He keeps saying he likes Joe as a middle name, I am sure he is joking but it is frustrating that we can't agree. We want the name to be good for a baby and a classy adult.

Other names I like are Catherine Elizabeth Essary (named after my mom and step mom).
Catherine Sue-ann Essary (after my mom and his mom).
Elizabeth Sue-ann Essary
Sue-ann Elizabeth Essary
and Lauren Sue Essary.

Do you think any of those names would be better then Savannah (insert middle name here) Essary?

Thanks!

wow so many great answers so far. I really like My Lynn and Marie choices a lot too but I also love the suggestions Rae and Rose so far.

I have another one to try on ya'll. I like it but I realize it makes the whole name fairly long.
Savannah Jolean Essary (I saw jolean on another question and like it but not sure about it with Savannah). What do you think?

I am pretty sure that I can sway my husband if I need to. We have a son together and we had a wonderful name picked out for him until the day he was born and my husband decided at the last minute he wanted a Jr. so,lol, we have a Jr.

I think its my turn ;) (just don't want him to hate it)

I LOVE the name Savannah. The middle names you've picked out are nice, but quite commonplace. Jo isn't bad as a middle name, but not the spelling of Joe (Looks masculine.)

Savannah Jane
Savannah Jolie
Savannah Jo
Savannah Josephine "Jo"
Savannah Kate (This used to be one of my fave girl name combos)
Savannah Louise

How about Savannah Paige

BTW I like the middle name Jo.

I think with Savannah a short middle name is best.

Savannah Lee
Savannah Jo
Savannah Eliza (a take on the Elizabeth, but shorter)
Hope these help! I would go with a shorter middle name since the other two are so long. Congrats!

I like Savannah Marie and Lauren Sue and Lauren Elizabeth.
What about Savannah Catherine? I like that one best I think.

Add: You could go with Jo. My mom was Belinda Jo.

As Savannah and Essary have many syllabels I think a short name would go well.

I like Savannah Renae or Savannah Rose. Both sound great with the first and last name.

I like Savannah Lynn. Lynn has one syllable, which contrasts nicely with the longer first and last names, and ends with a consonant, making it easier to say with your last name. If your husband is serious about Joe, then how about Savannah Joan?
