Yes it definitely could. I think it's more feminine sounding, but it could be a boy name as well.

I like Selena for a girl. Selen is a more manly name. but I guess Seln could be for both.

Sounds like a girl's name but I understand it would be Selena for a girl. It just sounds like a made up name to me.

I like it for a girl more than a boy but you could play around with the spelling and it would work for either!!!
