Francis and Lesley or Leslie would be your sons
Frances and Lesley or Leslie would be your daughters
(Leslie has no gender association, similar to Alex, Taylor, Morgan, etc. --- they all originally had a masculine connotation, but are now used for both sexes)

Both names are incredible underused in my opinion. I think Frances is a beautiful name for a girl (I know a girl called Frankie whos a Frances). I think Francis is also a great middle name rather than the usual Michael, Robert, David, etc. The Sts. Francis are really inspirational in my opinion also.

Originally Leslie and Francis were male and Lesley and Frances were female.

Now, it depends on where you live. My name is Leslie and in Australia, it was assumed I was male, but here in the US there is no such assumption. (Usually people make the correct guess that I am female.)

Frances is female; Francis is male. That one is clear cut.

The other is a little trickier - I believe Leslie is the original version, and as the name was originally male, I'd say that Leslie is male, and Lesley female. But practically speaking, I'd bet that either could be female these days.

Technically, Leslie is the original and Lesley the variant, however, Leslie is actually the more common spelling for EITHER gender (and Lesley doesn't appear in the top 1000 male names at all).

Frances is the feminine form of the masculine name Francis. That one's clear-cut (though many mistakenly use Francis for their daughters anyway LOL).

Edited to add: With the current trend of misspelling male names to somehow indicate femininity, it's really interesting how many assume Lesley -- the variant -- masculine and Leslie -- the orignial masculine/surname form -- female. ;)
