Ugh! I don't like it. Never have, and now that annoying song has made it so much worse!

My name is Delilah Jade Easton. Everyone calls me Lila which I love because it reminds me of Lilac which is a flower and also my favorite color. When I was in middle school, I remember one boy that would always call me a harlot because of the name, but that was one boy out of everyone I knew. The name seriously grows on you.
Just because of "The Plain White T's" song "Hey There Delilah" doesn't mean the popularity will spike. Just look at "Mandy" by Barry Manilow and "Layla" by Eric Clapton. Those names aren't overly popular. And like some other people said, there is another really old song called "Delilah" and the popularity didn't really increase much.
Over all, I think if you like it, use it. Your daughter probably won't be faced with anything that will make her, or you for that matter, hate such a lovely name.

I don't even know the song.
Am I really uncool?
As for the name, I think it's great. She isn't a "nice girl" in the Bible, but the name itself is beautiful.
Plus, it's cool to have a name with an "edge"

Currently in the US Delilah is all the way down in the 500s of popularity. I doubt that a spike will send it too high! It's not going to be in the top ten all of a sudden, though it could pop up in the top 100 (but I say doubtful).
Delilah is a beautiful name. I think you should go with it.
It was my husband's gramma's name and she was the sweetest woman alive, so it by no means will turn your little angel into a bad girl! :)

I really like it, but I have to agree with the family, it seems if a celebrity names their child that or if it comes out as a song it will spike popularity. (I loved the name Jadden long before Will Smith was famous) But, it is a cute name, it might not take to the population, or if it does, then she won't feel so alienated for having an uncommon name.

I work with a Delilah and a Jezebel! They are nice ladies in their twenties. I used old testament names: Naomi, Sarah, Hannah, for my girls in 1978, 1980 and 1989 and would not have used the "bad girl" names then, but I might now. If you like it, there is no reason not to use it.

I know alot of people that don't like Here There Delilah, not by the name, but by the tune and stuff. I love the name Delilah. It's so pretty and it fits all stages in life. I don't think it would get popular.

Does it really matter? If you love the name then go with it! For what its worth I love the name and did before the song came out!

I don't mind it at all. As a matter of fact, it really can grow on a person.
The Tom Jones song is almost 40 years ago and most of the current child-bearing generation hasn't heard it.
If there's some other, newer, song I don't know it. I'm the one out of touch.

Last year it was rank 548 last year
This year, it will be in the top 200
It may not be in the top 100.
More people are naming their child that, because of the song
Or it's just popular this year
