I agree with most of the other responses, I like the name Amanda better.
However, both names go well with Jean.
With Amanda there is the nickname AJ and Mandy.
But with Rachel there is RJ, or Rae. or Rae J.
I LOVE the nickname Rae, its so cute.

Amanda sounds better with Jean. But I like the name Rachel too. Just not as well with Jean.

Both sound okay, but I personally like Amanda Jane, because like someone said earlier, the nicknames AJ or Mandy J sound soooo cute. That's just me.
Rachel Jean sounds alright also but in my school there are far too many Rachels and I rather have a rarer name than a super duper popular one.

I like the name Amanda Jean. It can be shortened to Mandy which is a really sweet name. I have a cousin named Rachel and kids called her "Roach". Congratulations & Best Wishes!!!
