Adolescent - March 2007

I really want to try out for the school's girl's soccer team. No one in my family has ever played a sport. (we're a VERY musical family, trust me on that) I'm not exactly a soccer pro, but it would help me mentally, physically, and I think it's great trying new things. But, I have advanced chorus on Monday from 6-8, ballet on Tuesday from 5-6, and show choir on Wednesday from 6-8. Soccer is every single day. I'm not even sure I would make it! And if I did, that would be a lot. Do you think I should try out and risk not only not making the team, but getting worn out every day? Or should I stick to what I'm doing?

ok this is long..my frind and this boy have been on and off for 3 yrs..and me and my friends never really liked him bc he was such a douche but he made her happy so we went along wiht it..recently when they were on a breka he told me she was anorexic and lied about what she eat and i never told her..a few days later they got back togeather and then he cheated on her 2 and she kept tkaing him back...on sat i completley bitched him out and told him he doesnt deserve her..then my firends confronted me about it and i told her all the horrible things he said about her and he began texting me saying how much he hates me and how i ****** everything up..i clearly wasnt worng i was looking out for my firend? it prob wont matter bc they will most likely get back togeather and the whole thing will start all over again...what should i do to try and solve my problem with him?? should i even bother??

Have any other parents here heard their children talk about this?

My sister offered my 12 year old nephew a gatoraid the other day, and he looked at her and rolled his eyes and said, "Hello, Mother, yellow #5?" Then he headed back to the ballfield. So she looks at another youngster there and says, "What?" The slightly older girl told my sister that yellow #5 stunts the growth of their "manly hood." Later her son confirmed that that was what he was referring too. She says obviously this is something that they get enlightened on here in 6th grade. I'm not sure I believe it, but just curious how popular this belief is because I have two sons coming up too.

omg i got ISS(in skool suspension) for tomorrow and thursday just for saying "wat the ***" after skool. i dont really think this is fair but o well. how am i supposed to not talk or make noise the whole 2 days. this will be so hard i dont want another day of iss cause im making too much noise. its so boring in there and the only reason i go to skool is to talk to my friends. wat should i do cause if i get really bored i will start tapping my pencil or my feet and annoy everybody. wat can i do to like keep quiet the whole time. from like 8 30am to 3 40pm.

Why do adults still think of me as a "young child". I am 13 years old and they make me play with kids half my age! I am sick and tired of it. Look, I know I am still legally a child. And no, I don't want to grow up yet, but I am tired of being treated like a small child. It isn't my parents really, but just people in my neighborhood and stuff. A 12-year-old girl .... ..... girl could face criminal charges and other discipline after she was caught snapping a lewd photograph of herself and sending the image to at least 10 other students, police said Tuesday.

We didnt use protection. I only had my underwear on. He didnt enter me but we came close to. I was so stressed about it because i know that women can become pregnant without intercourse so i took the m.a.pill. Ive had some pregnancy tests since and theyve all come out negative yet i know that they arent always accurate. Ive had three periods but. to me, because ive been so stressed and worried, i dont know if theyre normal-i know that some people have light periods even when theyre pregnant. I dont feel different physically. Ive been told that i probably am not pregnant but im really worried i am- what are the signs of pregnancy and the symptoms at 3 months in- please give me some advice-i dont know what to do and what i should be thinking. On January 3rd I didnt really engage in sex there was attempt to but somebody couldnt hold an erection. I performed oral sex and then there was hand to genital stimulation he performed it on me. 3 weeks later on January 24 I got my period for a regular 5 days it was normal. For the month of February I didnt get my period though, so I was wondering if there was a possibility of me being pregnant. Could sperm have gotten on his hand then into me by any chance? That day my ovulation calendar said I was more fertile so ya.

Please dont give me answers saying I should know more about sex before having it.

well my "best" friends supposably (two of them) are my cuzin and my other friend. They exclude me out of conversations, they talk about me, and my cousin tells stuff that i tell her to my other friend. They laugh soooo loud and stuff and then when they go to a public place and see someone laughing that hard they go..omg! and stuff like that. i said well it anoys people that you laugh pretty loud sometimes, and they go well if your embarassed by us then you can leave and leave us alone!! and i always feel out of the conversation and stuff like that.
I have other best friends that ACT like my bff's and in fact we've never even gotten in a fight. when i tlk with them, i AM included and know that they wont blab to other people!

okay so I live with my dad right...well I was never told anything about my mom because she and my dad were only dating when I came along (they were 21) and they broke up. They just never told me anything about her. Now TODAY I was told by my dad that my mom peaced out and now she is remarried with 2 children and I never knew all this. To say I'm angry is an understatement! All of my relatives knew and I'm 16... why couldn't I have been told earlier? Yea ok. So I had a boyfriend for about 6 months and I told him I am an adopted child before too. But last week I told one of my friends Ryan that I was adopted and Ryan told him. But I didn't really care because I thought I already told him. So the next day he called me and asked if I was adopted and I said yea. So then he said Ohh. Then tge next day he broke up with me. And my bestfriend is Ryan and he asked him why he did? And he said because I was adopted. So that kinda made me sad. And I asked Ryan what to do and he told me it really depends on me. Should I say yes or no?

He is the only one who can drive me to an appointment I have at David's Bridal for a bridesmaid dress fitting. It's going to take a while. We have to drive an hour to get there, there is nothing else to do nearby.
