Why do adults still think of me as a "young child". I am 13 years old and they make me play with kids half my age! I am sick and tired of it. Look, I know I am still legally a child. And no, I don't want to grow up yet, but I am tired of being treated like a small child. It isn't my parents really, but just people in my neighborhood and stuff. Like one of the neighbors are like, "Oh, sweety, you can't hear this. This is big people stuff." Hello!!! Look, I really don't care if they don't want me to hear it. But it is stupid stuff like drugs and all. And she doesn't have to say it is "Big people stuff". Do you understand what I am saying? And it will be poker night and, my mom doesn't care if I sit around the poker table or anything and watch, but it is the neighbors mostly. like, 7 years old! They don't want me to watch them, but play with them as if I was 7 myself! I don't mind being with them, because they are nice kids. I have no problem with that. I am just sick and tired of people thinking of me as little. I don't see how they see me as little, because I don't act like it at all. How do I solve this problem?

If you haven't said anything then you need to come out and tell them how you feel about that there going to keep doing it.

Well your at a very tough age in life. They probably want you to play with their kids so they don't have to watch them all the time. You could take it as they think your good with their kids and they're trying to give you some responsibility in having you spend time with them. As for the comments about Big ppl stuff...well they might be worried about getting in trouble from your parents for speaking about things in front of you. Or that may be their opinion. Don't worry about what the people in the neighbourhood think..it's your parents that know your maturity.
