well i go to boarding school so my situation is a little different. i have a very good relationship with my parents though. i talk to them every night on the phone. i deffinately have more freedom at school than i do at home though. at school i only have to "check in" at dinner and at home i have to call and tell them where i am and so on. the few friends that my parent have met they have tried to not pass judgement on and have been very fair.

chores, friends, other responsibilities. A pretty good one...we don't argue that often. My mother is a "push over".....and I can't say that sometimes we treat her badly...because that's the way we've been raised...do do what we want. My father on the other hand enforces the rules strictly....he's still abit of a child and plays video games and stuff....but nevertheless...he is the one who holds the fort down. My parents like my friends that they have met...which aren't many. They know that I have a good sence of who's "good" and "bad". As a typical teenager, I see my freedom as..."not enough".....ther's always room for more. A teenager wil always want more freedom.....whether or hot he/she can handle the responsibility. They allow me more freedom when I can prove that I'm responsible enough. So far I've been pretty responsible...so they trust me, and allow me to stay out a bit later....and do more things on my own- than some of my friend's parents.

I don't really have a straight answer for this question. E-mail me if you want a deep insight however.
Describe the relationship you have had with your parents? It's not a very great one. We're very distant and I sort of wish we weren't.
Describe how your parents respond to your friends? My mom doesn't like one of my friends because she's "too dependant" on me [like money and stuff] which she's not. (Not mentioning my moms really selfish and stingy and I'm not)
Describe how you see your freedom. How your parents view it? I think I'm free enough, I just don't take advantage of it or soemthing along those lines. My parents are just now starting to hold me back with certain stuff. [Like boys]

My parents and I coexist nicely in my house. My dad and I don't get deeply enough into discussion that we could possibly fight. My mom and I only really fight when we have both had stressful days and I neglect to load the dishwasher or something like that. My parents really like all of my friends, so there is no problem there. I think that my parents give me quite a bit of freedom and they trust me, which is nice.

I usually don't argue, but when I do it somehow goes to her boyfriend. She talks about him like he's a god, and it just gets so annoying because that's all she cares about and won't listen to the stupid little things in my life that I want to share.
I have a pretty good relationship with my mom, but sometimes I just feel like I never see her or do anything with her. Like, I see her in the morning before school for about a minute and after school, but we don't talk. We don't do things. And on weekends I usually end up at a friend's house, and she ends up at her boyfriend's house. And she treats my brother better than she treats my sister and I, and that makes me feel unwanted. I have extremely low self-esteem.
My mom loves my friends, because I'm with the right crowd and such. I mean, we talk about what normal teen girls talk about (sex, sex, and more sex) (though we're all virgins, no worries) but we're all good people so she just loves my friends. I have no friends that are even worth worrying about.
I have too much freedom. I stay up too late and get bad grades and I'm lazy and ignorant. She thinks that I'm a fine, normal student, but I'm slipping. She doesn't know that I go to bed hating myself or that I cut myself once or that I forget my homework on purpose. My mom doesn't care what I do. I don't tell her when I'm going somewhere. I don't know how my mom views it, I don't think it matters to her. I mean, I hear all these kids complain about how they can't see a certain movie or have to do too much chores and I feel bad, yet it reminds me how I do so much and my mom doesn't know. She doesn't try to stop me, because she's not there.

my parents and i talk a lot. i usually try to tell them everything. but sometimes i hide some bad grades and lie a lot. it doesn't really affect my grades, theyjust yell cus i'm not allowed to do certain things.
my friends, my parents see my best friends. they're nice people. we're all kids in honor classes, so we're pretty responsible and smart.
i don't get to go out a lot with friends. but once in a while to the movies is ok with them if i have no hw. they view it as a enough freedom because they take me out twice a weekend and we go as a family. yeah.. i'm ok with that, i just kinda wish i had more times with my friends a lilttle more.. =)

I don't think I am treated vary fairly on freedom. I do not have a vary big relationship with my only parent, my Grandma, as she gets very mad easily, and she says some VARY painful things... My Grandma thinks the world is to dangurus for me to go outside...So I do not have any friends, yet she complains about me being antisocial, and she won't let me do it. She said school is also to dangurous, and she cyberschooled me. She moved my bookcases infront of my window so people will have to knock them down to get to me. But I do not care, sicne now my room is very dim, and it is quite peaceful.

Well, if you asked my mom she would probably say that it's fine. But she pretty much ignores me. I am like a maid/nanny. My mom doesn't say I love you to me unless i say it first, almost like you would treat a maid. My mom thinks it is her job to choose my friends and has it in her mind that if she doesn't like a friend, i don't either. my freedom? my parents are practically telling me to get out right now. they hate giving me rides, and the only reason i wouldn't be able to go somewhere is if i had to babysit. by the way, i'm 12 and this is how they treat me. can you imagine when i'm 15? 16?

Okay, so I even had an argument w/ my parents today. My parents always say that they've been there for me... They haven't done **** for ME!!! My parents don't think I should have friends... They're bitches to me! I have NO freedom... My parents think that not having to work is freedom... I hate their perspective on teenagers... They think they know everything...
