Tell him immediately. if he denies it, you can get a paternity test when you are 6 months pregnant and the child is still in the womb. With a paternity, you can sue for child support if need be. You need to tell him right away. It's your obligation to the child in the event that the child wants to have a relationship with his/her father. You don't want the child to resent you for never allowing him/her to meet dad.

You need to tell him, he has a right to know and if you have this child and a few months after the birth or a few years after the birth he finds out you had had a child by him he is going to be very upset and very angry..He is going to feel cheated because he missed the first few months or years of his childs life because you did not tell him that you were pregnant.
If he were to deny the baby you can get a Paternity test to prove he is which cost about $300 but if it comes back he is the dad he has to pay not you.
If the father is not into drugs or some kind of criminal then YES he does have every right to be in the child's life. A father has just as much right to be in a child's life as the mother.
If you plan on getting child support then by law if the guy pays child support you HAVE to let him see the child unless you prove he is unfit like doing drugs or is a drug dealer or something along the lines of that.

I'm sure you know that you need to tell him. You should know your estimated conception date and due date. That may help him wrap his head around this life-changing event a little easier. You may want to schedule a meeting between the two of you and his and your parents as a support system for each of you because not only are you going to be a mom they are going to be grandparents. This would be scary for a grown-up so it must be terrifying for a 16 year old. Bottom line, you and the father need to have a mature conversation soon, face-to-face.

Tell the father, as soon as you can. A) he deserves to know his child, B) your child deserves to know his/her father, C) he has a legal responsibility to economically help support this baby. If he says it's not his, ask him to take a paternity test. If he says no, contact an attorney. You're young and taking a lot of responsibility on your shoulders - there is no reason you should bear it all by yourself because he participated in making this baby, too. Don't let him get away with shoving this all off on you--you're going to have to grow up fast and he needs to, too.
You might want to talk to someone at Planned Parenthood - they can help you explore all your options, put you in touch with social workers who can help you, give you legal advice, etc. And best of all, their services are free.

Tell your father, don't let him hear it from someone else, that would really hurt him. And you know what, everything has a way of working itself out, don't be all to discouraged at the journey you are now faced with, in whatever you decide, know that from here on in it will be your "responsibility", in whatever it is "you" choose to do. God Bless.

Tell him anyway since he deserves to know he's going to be a dad. Even if he doesn't help at least he will know he fathered a child.

I don't know what the law is, if any, on notifying the father. If you can, just have this child on your own and leave him out of things. If you're going to keep the baby, you'll have to decide whether you want to file for child support, proof of his paternity and all that stuff. Stay around people who will give you moral support.
