He is the only one who can drive me to an appointment I have at David's Bridal for a bridesmaid dress fitting. It's going to take a while. We have to drive an hour to get there, there is nothing else to do nearby. It's kind of cold to make him wait in the car, but, I don't want him wandering around the store having to look at wedding dresses the whole time. What should I do?

Ask him what he would like to do. He could possibly read the paper, or a good book. You could have him look up tuxes to see what he likes.

If you have time between now and then you could go out of your way to buy him a magazine or news paper to read. This way he has something to keep him busy (and all those bridal employees off his back) and he'll really appreciate the efforts you went through for him.

If you don't have the time to get a paper or a magazine then you could print stuff out from websites. If he's really interested in a sport or other general news you can go to CNN's website or Sport's Illustrated's website and at least find something you think he'd be interested in reading.

Take him with you. Treat him like one of the girls for a day. He'll moan and whine perhaps, but deep down he'll be going through an emotional whirlwind seeing you in all those dresses.

But be sure to buy a couple newspapers or magazines so he can read them during the down time.

Well, is he going to be at your wedding? He could look at the tuxes, or he could take the car and go for a drive while you're in your fitting.

yes,, your dad is so considerate to do that thing for you. Whenever me and my daughter go out for shopping (of course it takes many hours)and my hubby drives for us ( of course he would not like to go with us inside the store or market) , we used to tell him,, "good night, dad". and he throws a big smile. but it's a must that leave him a pair of kisses, heheheh.
My hubby enjoys sleeping so much. So u have to know what ur dad loves doing alone. if he loves eating peanuts. keep a bottle in your bag and give it to him before u get out of the car, good luck.
