Pregnancy & Parenting - 17 February 2007

My daughter is one week old. After she eats we try to burp her, but she never does. Everybody has tried to get her to burp and she just won't do it. It doesn't seem to bother her at all, but I'm worried that it may cause problems later.

I cannot take her to the doctor until Monday- I don't think it is enough of an emergency to take her to the ER. But it's really awful. I've given her infant Tylenol Cough & Cold, and have tried steaming up the bathroom and taking her in there. It just isn't doing the job. What else can I do to get her through the weekend?

I am pregnant and we are very excited. Her dad left when I was pregnant and she has never seen him. Now I am pregnant and today she asked if this baby is only a 1/2 brother. I explained tecqunicely, yes.. but so many people have step sisters, adopted brothers, two mommies, etc... and this baby and her will be more full siblings then an adopted child.. How do I make her feel bettter? She obviously won't have a full silbing ever

I had my daughter in April of 2006. Her father treated me so wrong during my pregnancy and now he acts like our daughter only exist when he wants me to pay him some attention. I have a job working for the hospital, I have my own apartment and I take care of my daughter alone. At times it hurts so damn bad inside. I just want to know, how to deal with it before I have a nervous breakdown.

i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend last night and we used no birth control..my last period was on february 9th so it was only a week after that..i know they say 2 weeks is ovulation but i had the cervical mucus..the way they say when your ovulating..is it possible for me to have conceived last night even though it wasnt 14 days? i have a 28 day cycle.

real bad cramps??? Bad enough to keep you awake??? I am on Clomid and at least I ovulated this month, but it hurt all the way around my back. My sono showed two good eggs, when you release more the one egg does it cause discomfort???

I have got over the worst of my morning sickness. However everytime I get on a bus to work ( a journey of about 20mins) I always feel queasy and vomit and have to get off the bus.

Has anyone else had this problem or any suggestion on how I can prevent it or at least make bus journeys easier??

I'm 12 and I've had a boyfriend for 4 months (please no "you're too young" comments, since people at my school started going out in 4th grade) and we're the only "couple," which I hesitate to say, in which both people are in this class. Some of my friends were teasing me a few days ago about liking him, which happens about every day, very loudly while the teacher was sitting at her desk about 4 feet away. I'm not sure if she heard, but the next morning she gave this very long lecture about dating and and boyfriends and girlfriends and MARRIAGE and Dr. Lara (or something) and I can't help feeling like the whole speech was directed at me. And all day I've been getting these e-mails from my friends mocking me for having a boyfriend and sparking the entire lecture. Did my teacher

Today the weather finally turned nice--65 degrees--so we packed up and headed to the park. While I was pushing my son on the swings another little girl came up and also wanted to be pushed. I would say she was at least 4.5 to 5 years old. Her parents were nowhere to be seen. I did end up helping her onto a swing and pushed her for about 5 minutes. Was this okay or do you think parents would be upset? I'm not sure about all the playground etiquette.
