We have 2 sons ages 7 & 9. Last year they both played baseball. But our 7 yr. old whined about not wanting to practice. He says he wants to play this year. We try encoraging him to do little things for himself that he should be doing at his age like pick up his toys, tie his shoes, ride his bike..he won't peddle it. He acts lazy & we are frustrated about it. We told him he could choose a different sport but he says he wants to play baseball. My husband doesn't want to waist time practicing with him if he's going to cry about it and wanting to play with toys instead. Our oldest son is playing this year & enjoys his dad practicing with him. Heck it's good father -son quality time anyways. What should we do? I don't want our youngest son to feel left out. Should we just let him play or what? I love both my sons equally and always try doing the same for both. I'm just lost on what we should do about this. Any advice?

My son is 11 months old and I started putting 1 once of whole milk in his formula. I was told to introduce it gradually. It made him really gassy and he spit up more (he has reflux/GERD). Doc says give soy milk at 1 year instead. Please HELP with any input. THANKS, Amanda

I posted this question yesterday, but everyones solution was to just put her in our room in a co sleeper...I guess my point is no matter where she sleeps if she is flat she will not go to sleep.

I have tried just about everything to get my 10 week old daughter to sleep in her crib....The only way we can get her to sleep right now is either in our arms or in her car seat.

I have tried elevating her mattress a little using towels and that didn't work. I just worry about her sleep in her car seat.

I do suck out her nose before she goes to bed just to make sure she isn't to stuffy. It just seems that anytime she lays flat she kind of freaks out. Any thoughts or ideas?

i had a very long and painful labor 19 hours officially and three days of painful contractions.

when it came to show time the baby seemed to have moved her face the wrong way and this resulted in a forceps and vacuum delivery,

alongside a pretty massive third degree tear, its been a week since delivery and i havent been able to urinate. ive had catheter after catheter put in and taken out and nothing...

i thought since i was severly constipated that when i emptied my bowels and the painful catheter was taken out for a while i would go but no.

now ive had the thing in 2days in a row and am supposed to keep it in till sunday. do you think il even go then??

if not what happens next im a to be catheterised forever??

He does understand the concept of timeout so recently I have been sending him to the timeout couch where he stays and just cries it out, but i need a way to head off the whiney behavior without reinforcing it,because it is becoming the norm at least two or three of these crying fits a day. With my girls who are older 15,13 and 11 and now a 20 month old boy I stayed home and took care of them and do not remember them having quote this many fits. Husband though has been out of work with broken hip that wont heal after first surgery and taking care of our baby boy. Husband has same personality as the baby (or vice versa) Husband very high strung type of guy...and apparently my son is too. He can be funloving and laughing and then just turns to this cranky whiney boy, and this is after a good nap. I am a seasoned Mom of 4, so only mothers or fathers with kids please answer this question, those who are experienced. I have tried loving him and hugging him which only reinforced the behavior.

My son is 16 years old. This morning he didn't want to get up and instead wanted to play hooky from school and begged me to let him stay home. I finally told him that if he stays home, he will have to cancel something that he had planned to do tonight that he's been looking forward to. He got mad and said I was "blackmailing" him but I told him I was just doing whatever necessary to get his *** out of bed. What do you think?

PS: Blackmail or not, it worked. He finally got up and went to school!

My son is not really talking. I mean he can say mama, dada, baba, get,tv and he calls his sister T T. His doctor is concerned that he is not speaking. But he listens,he colors, jumps plays, he seriously holds a conversation with you in his own words. He has perfect understanding. He points at the tv and says tv. He wants to watch it sometimes I say no....this two year old debates with me he points at me and then the tv and ask why in his language with his shoulders up. I say no again and he starts arguing. I dont see him not fully speaking at age two a problem.
