awww your just 30 weeks my dear and the symptoms sound very normal. if the pain starts seperating into waves of pain that stop and start and go around your belly that could be labour. but constant backache and vomitting is normal im afraid. just keep telling yourself your on the home stretch now. good luck.

Braxton hicks normally aren't very painful. It's just like uterine exercises to prepare for the real thing. Yes, your belly will feel super tight and it may hurt to stand up really fast or totally straight due to the contraction, but lower back pain isn't usually a symptom. I would call your dr and see if they want you to get checked. Also, before you do that, time the contractions. Are they at regular intervals. Do they get closer or further apart as time goes by? If it's really labor, walking will make it progress and this should help you figure it out. Good luck!

If your belly is getting really tight, then that sounds like Braxton Hicks. If you are experiencing "mentrual" type cramps that are constant and don't go away, then you could have a touch of a stomach bug (diarrheal cramps) OR the baby's position could be causing the cramps. If the cramps feel menstrual and they are coming and going at regular intervals and/or you are getting them at least 5 times a day, you could be having real contractions.
Either way, you should call your doctor and discuss your symptoms. They may want you to go into Labor and Delivery to do a fetal non-stress test. See your doctor to rule out pre-term labor.

28 weeks to 38 weeks is the most miserable part of being pregnant in my oppinion.
About a week or two before you have your baby you'll likely get a sudden burst of energy and feel very inclined to do things like disinfect the house and get everything ready for baby. It's some sort of nesting instinct I guess, but for now just try to walk everyday, get plenty of rest and nutrition, and try to sleep laying on your left side because you and baby both get more oxygen that way. Hang in there, Mommy...Baby comes when baby is ready.

Actually that sounds exaactly like Braxton Hicks to me...the skin on you belly will tighten all around....there is some cramp like pain, but trust me....its not nearly as bad as labor....labor is like an anvil falling on you...you KNOW.....as for back hurting and all that good stuff...welcome to pregnancy...try sleeping on your side with LOTS of pillows...one next to your back, one between your knees as well....

Call your doctor. I had contractions from 4 months on. It wasn't until it "was time" that I had the pain. Back labor hurts. Close your eyes and try to focus on those muscles to relax them. It helps if you can.
