At my ob/gyn office, she has a photo album with pictures of all the babies that she has delivered. I was looking through it at my last appointment, and I saw twin babies with clef palet ( im not sure how to spell it, it looked like their mouths were deformed) I was wondering what causes that defect? And when a baby is born like that, do the parents know about it before? Does it show up on ultrasound?

Gabrielle Marie OR Gabriella Marie

I like both names, but I can't decide. I hate the nickname 'Gabby' for such a beautiful name!

If Gabrielle, her nickname will be 'Brie'
If Gabriella her nickname will be 'Ella'

Ok well my period was due Janurary 5th and it didn't come. It's usually normal and on time but this time it wasn't. I didn't think much of being pregnant until it was like 5 day late. I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative but the second one came back positive. I started my period on the 24th. I'm still on it and it seems to be a normal period. Could I still be pregnant if I was to begin with? PLEASE HELP

Well, I fear that my super-huge confidence boost is wearing off like adrenaline.

Plus, I want to ask someone out!

I know one of my friends is friends with this person, and has 4th period (or something) with the person I want to ask out. (I hate repetition, time to use names)

Now, I do not know the status of Megan (person who I want to ask out), and, right now, we are friends. Problem is, I don't know if I should break it to her or have someone else ask her.

I'm stuck here, please help me. Should I ask herself or chicken out and have someone else do it?

I thought that it was mostly high school and up but I noticed recently a lot of 12-13 year olds
have one. I don't know if their parents gave them consent or they just did it themselves. My daughter says a lot of kids she knows has them. (she is just 12) What are your thoughts?

My Q. is this - my older daughter is obssesed with "little" toys (Polly Pockets, Little Petshop, etc.) and she has that stuff all around the house. Now my baby is almost 5 mo and soon she'll be crawling all around and, of course, picking up stuff and putting it in her mouth - what do I do????? I mean, don't tell me to explain 3yr old to don't leave it around,I tried and she's trying but that's all she plays with and there is always SOMETHING on the floor (if not those toys it's hair clips, rubber bands,... all lined up in some imaginary play....) How did you deal with this???

Okay, well- First off, I don't want to get in trouble. It's just that, is it normal for someone to never ever get in trouble? I mean, I have never been grounded or spanked in my life for doing anything wrong- but all my siblings have, including the one that is four years younger than me. I get good grades and behave, and I'm cool with that, but I'm starting to wonder if something is wrong with me, because I never feel the need to break rules and stuff. I almost feel left out. I know that if I ever did get in trouble, my parents would rip me into pieces, so obviously- I don't want to, but I'm just asking if it is normal. I asked them once and they said that they never thought I deserved to be punished, but that's just creepy. Am I normal for never getting into trouble? What's wrong with me? How come I don't find the "thrill" in breaking rules like people I know say they do?

She was born today at 1102 AM. I stopped in to say hi and greet her, and she screamed the whole time. I nurse at the hospital where she was born today. They said they do not give pacifiers because they want her to latch on. I think all of the company needed to stay away, so the mother could bond and teach this little thing to latch on for breast feeding. I did not breast feed my kids, so I am not sure about what is the best thing to do. Everyone in the dads familiy was visiting in droves. My niece is exhausted and the baby is screaming. Its just a farce. What to do to help. Should I have spoken up and told them enough is enough? This was her 1st baby and not even born yet when his family started coming in. They even took kids out of school to see this baby.

I am in serious trouble. I got an Ipod nano for Christmas. Yesterday I left it in my locker and didn't think it would get stolen because I go to a school that is K-8 and only has 150 kids. My grandma bought it and I live with her. She will kill me if I tell her I lost it and only had it a month. I was thinking that I could save up money to buy a new one but that would take like 6 months since i am only 13. I neeeeeed help!!!!!

I want to get a bed that my boys can share since they sleep better together. If we put them in their own beds they both end up making their way to our bed in the night. If we put them both in one twin bed they usually sleep their through the night. Do you think a full size bed is big enough for 2 young boys to share or should I opt for a queen. I just want them to have room to play and put their other furniture. Do your kids share a bed?
