she has seen some other R movies? Would this be inappropriate for her to see? Is it really that bad? If so what is bad?

It's perfectly fine for a girl her age. The
only really bad thing is everyone says " F***!! "
too much. But if she's used to cursing, that's fine.
I mean, it would be a PG-13 if they didn't say f***
so much. Hehe~ She should watch it. It shows
us a great lesson. I let my 10 year-old cousin
watch it and she absoloutly loved it. Her parents
didn't mind her watching it. They just didn't want
her to speak that kind of language in the house.
;)

The Movie Is A Great Movie And Is Rated R Only For It's Use Of The F Word Many Times, If Thats Fine With You Then Let Her See It. But I Can Also Tell You The Movie Is A Dark Comedy And Is Very Thought Provoking, My 62 Year Old Father Still Doesn't Get The Movie, And My Guess Is She Will Lose Intrest In The Movie After About 20 Minutes. But Give It A Shot, It Is Truly A Great Movie!!!!

I have seen parts of it, and I would be hesitant before letting a child under 10 see it, but your daughter is 14. The worst parts of the movie are gore, crude humour, uses of sexuality and cursing.

If you are nervous about a movie, wait until it comes onto tape and then watch it yourself. As much as a stranger can tell you what they think, sometimes it is just better to find out for yourself.

look i am 13 and i have seen this movie and it is a good movie ! just explain to her if she wants to see it that you will take her and sit on the other side of the theater so then she isn;t embarrased and if she wants to sit with you then let her just keep an eye on her and sheee will be fine oh btw ask her a lot of ?'s about the movie so then you can make sure she didn't snek into another movie

It's really up to the parents. I am quite confused on the matter:

When I go to the video store with my mom, she gets mad if I say I don't want to pick out an R movie (I'm 13).

If I go to the video store with my dad and say I do want to pick out an R movie, he gets mad.

So, for me it's really a lose-lose situation. But, in my opinion most R rated movies are a bunch of cursing, gore, and suggestive themes anyways.

No, I'm sure anything in it she knows about already - like nudie magazines, the fact that gay men exist, and that some people use drugs. It's a good movie and although the characters display human flaws it has a good underlying message of families pulling themselves together for a common goal. I loved this movie.

14!?!?! Are you serious!?!? Its just a movie!!
If your afraid of your daughter being influenced by drug content, or sexual content in a MOVIE, why dont you just pull her out of school.
And sports, and church, and everything!

This world has alot worse things then they depict in a movie, sweetheart. Maybe you just need to give your daughter some freedom, but still have the CORRECT boundaries. In the end, everyone will be happy.

There's nothing wrong with that movie. There's cursing but the main point of the movie is being brave and not caring what everyone thinks about you. And family sticking together. Let her see it, she might learn something that could help her out in life.

In Canada the movie is only rated 14A which means it is acceptable in Canada for 14 year olds to see it. If you really want to know though you can always go to www.kids-in-mind.com to see exactly why it has been labled as restricted.
