im looking for an activity centre for my 3 month old baby. The two ive seen that i really like are the Graco Baby Einstein discover and play centre and the leapfrog learn and groove activity centre. Has anyone bought these items? if so which would you recommend?

I gave birth to my 2nd 10 days ago, and nursing has been going extremely well from the start. Except the past couple of days, when she latches on, the first couple of seconds are excruciating, toe-curling pain.

From what I can tell, her latch-on is correct -- wide mouth, lips flanged outward, sucking on areola as well as nipple -- looks just like the pictures in the baby books.

But oh the pain! Is this something that's just supposed to happen during week two, and will eventually resolve itself? Or am I doing something else wrong?

Wish I could see a lactation consultant, but there aren't any at my hospital. Thanks in advance.

i'm moving in with a man who has two daughters, ages 8 and 3. They won't be there full time, but only a couple of nights per week. Both of these little girls rarely say "please" and "thank-you" or "excuse me" or anything else along those lines. They whine a lot and say "I want this" or "give me that"...it gets annoying pretty quickly... i need some constructive ideas on how to get these girls to be more polite in my home that i will be sharing with their daddy. Anything would be helpful.

before you found out u were preg what syptoms did you notice before ur missed period mines due on friday and my boobs are saw but that could also be my period i really want a baby this is our 8th month of ttc. or was it after missed period u first noticed symptoms

i am 15 n my parents r vey strict wit me.One time my uncle gave me a lot of homework 2 essay,1 chapter of add maths which has 5 checkpoints,10 chapters of general maths n 2 comprehension. All of it needed to b hand by the next day......GOD.....too much homewok to do within a day!!! And i couldn't even finished it in time n when he came the next day n found out tat i haven't finished the work he gave,he took a wip n caned me. It was very pain n my legs were swollen in purple,dark purple,green n red in colour. I hav a lot of respect towards him because he taught me alot n teaches me for free as he knows tat my family n i r poor. He is a good man n a nice man too but he is very strict wit me.Moreover as my major exam is over,he didn't even want to allow me to watch tv or play computer.If i did,he will break the screen.He wants me concerntrate in my studies n i never say it is wrong to study but to stop me from letting me free n always concerntrate in studies.....it is silly.Wat can i do?

okay so i am pregnant right now, and my best friend is also thinking that she might be. but she does not remember her last period, if it was the begining of this month, or the end of last month. anyways even if it was last month, is she ovulating right now???? she says has had sex almost every day without a condom (with her bf) since like the 13th. she says that he pulled out, but she knows that some *** got inside her a few times. and ya she is helluh worried, and so am i because her mom is really crazy, and thinks she is like perfect! and i know everyone is gonna say she needs to take a test but she took one last week twice, both negative, but it would not be long enough for the test to work, and she doesnt know if she missed her period yet or not. so ya do you think she is or not cause she is freaking out!

Does anyone know what would be the best way to find pregnant teens in need of a place to live? Im in Oregon and I take in one pregnant teen at a time and provide her and her baby with free long term room (her own room/nursery), board, guidance, medical insurance, transportation, and everything else. I also involve her in teen parenting groups, provide free child care while she goes to school, and counseling if needed. She gets one on one help.
I believe this is better for some, rather than a group home. My last mom just got her first apartment and Im have trouble filling her spot. Also I do this all out of my own pocket, I was a teen mom and I enjoy helping other teen moms.

i used it 9 hours after sex.
he came outside and far from me. ( no contact)
we had sex for one minute (due to lots of foreplay)
and i am supposed to be expecting my period soon anyway (like this week therefore i am infertile)

I am currently having folic acid for my pregnancy i.e. 5 mg but according to book i need to have 400 mcg? but currently i am having one tablet of 5mg a day but not sure how much mcg is that & how to calculate if I am having it right? please advice

After the birth of my second daughter, I fell more deeply in love with my husband, he has not change at all he does the same thing he always do but I just love him 50 times more than I knew was possible. When he leaves the house just to go to the store I miss him way more than I did before the birth of our baby girl. Are these signs of postpartum and should I let my dr. know. My daughter was born on Thanksgiving.

I am divorced. Husband bailed out. I have emotional problems, anger problems, no money, no family, no friends.

I'd heard about it, but didn't realise it also comes from nursing. I'd also heard babies don't need water which though mostly true, I'm now thinking it would be a good idea for nursing mothers to end a feeding with 10-20 cc of water if only to clean the teeth. I was noticing that my babies teeth looked chalky not pearly so I thought I'd scratch the surface to see if it was plaque and discovered it was worse than it looked and my baby started crying. His teeth haven't fully rotted luckily they still have their shape but one has a tiny flake that peeled. I will be taking him to the dentist on Wednesday.
Thanks for any experience or help you can share.

My fiance and I decided a long time ago that our first son's name would be Damian. This was before either of us had heard of the movie The Omen. Why do people cringe when we tell them of the name we chose? Why don't the realise that it's just a name? There are lots of real, terrible people in this world, and they have many different names, yet people are so hung up on the name of a character in a movie. What is your opinion?

i was picking on my sisters friends and her in the pool, giving them wedgies and making fun and i accidently riped one of there bathing suits, my mom got all pissed off and told me since i don't know how to respect guest or women then starting tomorrow i will wear the same thing that they have to wear in the pool and see how i like it, so shes making me wear one of my sisters old pink one piece bathing suits with a skirt on it in the pool, and i have to apologize, is this a fair punishment?

I put up questions about domestic discipline this weekend and this morning. To some of you I am no stranger as you answered my questions in strong disagreements. My husband is unaware of my posting of these questions. If he found out, he would not allow me to use this site for awhile and give me a good lecture.
