while it cuts down on pregnancy, yes you can get pregnant,,,, lactating mothers stop having periods for a while, atleast some do,,,,, some restart their periods while still breastfeeding, i personally started mine again at 3 months, though i continued feeding for a year. it would be hard to know, i suppose you could use an ovulating test,,, there really , for me, were no symtoms,,,

u can surely get pregnant while ur breastfeeding.its only a myth that u cant concieve while ur feeing.lactatig mothers get their periods aafter 3 months upto around 9 months.it depends on their bodies mechanisms, hormones to be more specific.also conception is lot easier after 1 baby/delivery.there are no symptoms per se thats why a lactating mother has 2 be even more careful.the only way u can avoid bcoming pregnant si by taking proper precautions and if u do suspect a pregnancy pick up a urine test kit 2 confirm it.good luck1

Its possible to fall pregnant when breastfeeding, you can also get your period when breastfeeding, this is why before you leave hospital they like to know what kind of contraception you have decided on as its very hard to tell if your ovulating or if its just breastfeeding. Good luck and protect yourself.

Yes you can still get pregnant. Your chances are just decreased from breastfeeding. It is hard to say about how to know your ovulating. Maybe you have cramping or twinges here and there but you just don't bleed. You feel bloated or maybe moodier then usual.

Although it is true that breastfeeding is a form on contraception in itself, it is not a 100% effective. it is still possible to get pregnant.

I have 4 children and nursed them all for quite a long time. I was never able to use that as a form of birth control and would never recommend doing so unless you want another bundle soon!
