Pregnancy & Parenting - 28 June 2006

Ok heres the deal, my little girl was 7 pounds 9 ounces when she was born. she was 2 days over due. She is now about to turn 3. She has always been kinda tall and petite, almost skinny, but not sick looking. I took her in for a doctors appointment today and she was weighed and mesured. She was 34 inches tall and only weighed 21 pounds! She has no medical problems that I am aware of. She dosent eat much, but when she does she really EATS! She eats her 3 meals a day, but not all of it, all the time. I guess my question is, am i a bad parent because my 3 year old only weighs 21 pounds?!? Her ribs ARE NOT sticking out or anything. And the doc even said she looked very well fed, that she was just a very active little girl with a high metabolism. But for some reason that dosent make me feel any better. Now Im not skinny, Im kinda heavy and have always been. I would really just like some other mothers advice about this, especially if this has happened to you. serious answers only please! thx!

I am an 18 yr old woman and I am very confused. I have had my period and I have been safe (well mostly safe) with having sex... but I still feel like I might be pregnant. Recently, I have been a little more light headed more often, I have been extremely moody and tired and I have been having weird cravings(i.e. Creme Brulee and garlic bread). I had my period however after I had started having all these symptoms and it was a normal amount of blood. Can I still be pregnant? I feel foolish taking a pregnancy test though. Can I be worrying so much that I'm tricking my body into thinking I'm pregnant?

Well i am now 2 1/2 weeks late with my period and i just realized it yesterday..only because my husband asked me did i get it yet. i thought about it.. no it totally slipped my mind. i always have my period the same time every month very heavy flows though.. but i took a home test and it was negative - i called the doctor today and they can't get me in til Friday! i am going to go nuts either there is something wrong with me that i stopped bleeding or im pregnant... has this ever happened to any of you... I'm scared that there is something wrong with me..

and i am not on birth control i am allergic to it

I have been with my boyfriend since i was 9 and he was 13. I am now 18 and he is 22. I am pregnant with his second child, and he told me he doesnt want anymore children right now. i am 3 weeks away from giving birth to my first child and my mother has completely taken over!! don't get me wrong i love my mum and i appreciate the advice but she has pushed my partner and my in laws out of the way! she is behaving like it is her child not mine. everytime i try and talk to her about she, she gives me this look that says "i'm listening but don't actually care what you are saying" i have been getting that look all my life. she doesn't even want my partner in the delivery room and she is really angry that he wants to be there and he wants to be as involved as he can. any advice would be great!!!

My four year old daughter told me that she doesn't want to live with me anymore. She said that she wants to live with her dad. She doesn't even listen to me anymore. I am afraid that all of her actions will affect her younger sister. What do I do about this? Please help me!

I stopped using my birth control pills (Yasmin) in April of this year. My LMP was on May 21st. I suspect that I am pregnant, but the pregnancy test I took on Monday was negative (maybe I've tested too soon?) I've researched that stopping the use of birth control pills may irregulate your menstral cycle, but it seems that I clearly am having most of the symptoms of being pregnant (nausea, exhaustion). Could I be pregnant or am I just experiencing symptoms of being off the pill?

I hate these questions, If you think your pregnant, go buy a pregnancy test or go to your doctors! We do not know if you are pregnant, most of us are not doctors. Have you had sex? then you might be, get a test to find out rather then having a complete stranger tell you yes or no. Get a brain people!
