I am an atheist. I do not believe that there is a (big G) God or a (little g) god or a goddess or a flying spaghetti monster for that matter. Yet I live in a country that has adopted "In God WE trust" as MY national motto.

The first amendment to the Constitution - the primary specific right granted in the bill of rights - promises me that my Congress shall pass no law establishing a national religion, yet they violated this promise to make the idea that all Americans trust in one and the same God the central thematic idea of our shared rallying cry.

The truth is, however, I do not trust in God. Neither do the Hindus who live here or the neo-pagans, or the Buddhists or Seiks or Shintus or native Americans who practice the old religions. So can you acknowledge that the national motto should never have been made "In God We trust?"

Just wondering.

Trying to pin her down on an issue is like trying to catch a greased pig. Will the lib voters be savvy enough to see that her positions are non-existent (at least until then election).

The largest dam in Iraq is in serious danger of an imminent collapse that could unleash a trillion-gallon wave of water, possibly killing thousands of people and flooding two of the largest cities in the country. Mosul would be buried under up to 65 feet of water and parts of Baghdad under 15 feet.

Why do they flock to see a fictional movie, like Farenheit 9/11, made by a traitor, Michael Moore, but refuse to see a true documentary, like Obsession? Here is a trailor of this factual movie. Do the Libs think Conservatives paid these Islamic terrorists to pose, and act for this movie? They might think it's an "inside job".

The Republican house and Senate people are determined NOT to get the average american health care coverage but they really like their guaranteed Government Health coverage.
I dare them to walk the walk. If it is not ok for all Americans to have health coverage then give up yours !!

I watched the democratic debate the other night (I was feeling masochistic), and noticed that HIllary was BARELY able to reign in her temper at several points. At one point she was openly scowling at John Edwards as he gave his answer. This got me thinking, so I googled stories about her temper while first lady and senator, and wow, the women goes off like an atomic bomb. If you support her, can you tell me why her documented tantrums don't worry you? Hillary could barely keep the lid on when being questioned by someone in her own party! Imagine when it's the head of state of a nuclear power! Throw in the fact that she goes over the top when her strength or authority is questioned, and you have the emotional recipe for disaster. Overcompensation isn't just for men and pickup trucks. Anybody besides me see a problem?

Oh, and I'm not a republican, and am not asking about temper tantrums by republican candidates or current officials. Let's stay on target. Please.

as a conservative, I'm deeply disturbed by our liberal leader. After all, there's nothing conservative about Bush's immigration policy. There's nothing conservative about the way he's spent our country into record debt. There's nothing conservative about extending the role of the federal government when you can't get activist judges to rule the way you want (as he did in the case of Teri Schiavo). There's nothing conservative about being a draft-dodging, lying, murdering, war-mongering, nation building, coke-snorting, Texas town drunk. These simply arent conservative principles. So as a true conservative - can our nation endure this LIBERAL any longer??

A Racist: A racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. The term applies to all white people (i.e. people of European descent) living in the United States regardless of class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality. By this definition, people of color cannot be racists, because as peoples within the U.S. system they do not have the power to back up their prejudices, hostilities or acts of discrimination."

According to the University of Delaware it is.

Americans elect Governors; Nixon, Reagan, Carter, bush, far more than Senators; Dole, Kerry , Gore, Biden, ect.

Is it because Governors have a more populist appeal?

Why? Why? Why, I say?

I recently saw 2 people who alluded to Bush stealing the old election. I know one of them is intelligent, so that surprised me.

And for the final time, no matter how much you hate Bush and/or don't like reality, they counted those ballets 4 times BEFORE the US Supreme Court stopped the counting with an additional count after the official counting ended. In each count, no matter who counted and how they were supervised (Gore's and Clinton's people were all over it) Bush still won. Period.

The Supreme Court was Clinton's for 8 years, so why do people assume they were in Bush's pocket? They were about evenly divided between conservatives and liberals plus all the judges were approved by congress. The rule of law was followed, every single step of the way.

It is history and reality. No matter how badly you don't like reality, it is still reality. Gore lost by a slim margin that was verified by Gore's and Clinton's own people. Enough already, OK?

So what happened to the big hurricane season that global warming was supposed to cause? Whoever got hit by one isn't happy, but compared to the last couple years, this year was nothing. So is global warming over then?

....and now, solar panels are causing big trouble for firefighters. Seems you can't turn off the juice. So the fire department has to let them burn to the ground so they don't get electricuted. With all the bull about Global Warming, people have been rushing out to get solar. I wonder if they get enough carbon offsets to rebuild their house.

Who wants to follow these green morons that just can't get anything right?
