Either you believe in Republican principles or you do not. Either you believe in limited government, lower taxes, personal responsibility, and strong national defense or you do not.

It sure seems like these moderates always sell us out. McCain, Warner, etc.

Did you ever like a President who was not a member of your party or whom you did not vote for?

If you are a Democrat - do you think President Bush is a GOOD MAN (MAN - not President)?

If you are a Conservative - do you think President Clinton was a GOOD MAN?

I'm perplexed. I served in the military, I studied history, maybe I missed something. Can anyone explain to me how we are losing the war?

Losing a war would mean:
1.) The enemy has incapacitated our will to fight.
2.) The enemy has crushed our potential for conflict.
3.) We have taken more causalities than our enemy.
4.) The enemy has gained ground and over ran out bases.
5.) The enemy has proven themselves superior on the battlefield by outmaneuvering our forces.

Has any of these things happened? I missed the Al Jazera update tonight so can anyone that believes we are losing the war explain to me their logic in saying this.

Come on, tell us all what the Dems in Congress have accomplished, and why their approval rating is lower than the President's? If the President is so horrible, then why is their approval rating lower?

1.) When you first came to YA political section, did you come as a moderate? Were your political leanings changed by the members here? Did the constant insults or pointlessness of this forumn persuade you to stronger feelings towards your party?

2.) If you are a regular here, how did you come up with your user name?

Me- I was conservative before I came but leaned more towards the right by reading some of the posts.

User name isnt very creative. I dive a lot with friends and my dog usually rides along in the boat. My friends call her scubadog.

Last April, I took some financial advice from a friend and purchased 300 shares of Countrywide for about $33 each. About 6 weeks later, I felt very nervous about having $10,000 of my money in a company that makes loans to people with bad credit, when the real estate bubble had obviously burst. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out you should sell, & I did for about $40 each, heck I made some money...
Two weeks later, it started to go down slightly. Others were getting the same feeling I had. Then in July-August the bottom fell out. It dropped below $20 for a while.
I had the good sense to get out. Its called thinking for myself. Worked for me.
Libs cry about troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Here's a newsflash: They volunteered to join up! If they didn't know what was coming, its their own fault! My son graduated in 2005. The recruiters were after him. Did he go? No way! He's not dumb.
Whatever happens libs, its not the government's fault. Stop blaming your failures on Bush!

I am not trying to use this as an insult and I am not joking but from the childish way that Ann Coulter acts toward others and all of the hateful, mean, untrue things she says about other people. When someone points her to be wrong she just changes the subject. Just watching her makes me think that she has some kind of paranoia where she dramatizes things people say about her and she feels like everyone is personally attacking her when she started the attacks in the first place and they are just asking her to stop. For example when Elizabeth Edwards asked her very nicely to stop the hate speech and personal insults Ann immediately blurts out so you want me to stop speaking? What is the matter with her?

Somalia?

While Bill Clinton is certainly guilty of mishandling Somalia, unlike George W. Bush with Iraq, at least when he screwed up there he decided to leave before he made a bigger mess.

Liberal thinking is emotional in many ways. Conservative thinking more rational. For instance, take taxes, we know on the conservative side the evidence is clear - cut taxes and the government eventually increases its revenue because of the impact on the economy (worked for Reagan and Bush Jr). It is fact, and that is rational, but liberals can't get past the "emotion" of tax cuts for the rich. Take that emotional stance and add in the rational they don't define rich, and the fact only 1/2 of our society actually pays taxes means tax cuts are in deed for the top 1/2 of societies wage earners. Why do liberals get stuck on emotion and refuse to accept facts?

In your opinion, What would the First Presidential Administration of George Washington say about the Administration of George W. Bush?

I believe Washington's Administration would tell the Bush Administration to Keep Up The Good Work and that you are doing a great job for the United States of America.
