1.) a. Yes I came a moderate liberal Democrat. By that I mean I think this life is a gift and I'd rather relish in the awesomeness of life here and help where I can and try to give back to the planet what I take.
b. My political leanings haven't changed but I have become more adamant about trying to get my fellow Americans to see that most of the members of our government have been corrupted by power and greed. That includes members from both the Republicans and the Democrats.
c. Really bad awful decisions by the members of my party have more effectively persuaded me toward stronger feelings, more than any user here.
2.) KellyB is my name.

1) I first came a while back, then left, then returned. I started out conservative, and have remained so throughout my time here and elsewhere. In politics and religion, I know where I stand and my opinion is unlikely to change, although I'm glad to listen to other points of view. Insults are, as I learned from a question I asked a little while ago, a part of life in this area. :) Oh well. It's a bit obnoxious, but if you skip to the meaningful questions you can find some good thoughts going on.
2) Random letters, random numbers, it works out.

No, came as a conservative, political leanings were not changed. However, the constant insults have caused me to temper my insults and ask more limited questions in an attempt to eliminate the broad generality type answers (and the insults that go along with them)
My user name is my name, no mind bending creativity there.
PS, I really would like the responses of those that I disagree with to be a little less based on hatred and more based on a logical thought process, other than "he's an idiot, that's why I hate him." But, carry on, my brother in arms, carry on!

When I first came to Yahoo political section I was already Christian Conservative and still remain Christian Conservative. I was already used to the mindless insults and stuff from debating on other blogs.
But, I think if we can just get in a word edge ways, we just might help to make a difference in someones life. And that's one of the main reasons I comment on different blogs is to witness to people about the Lord, there are many on Yahoo politics section who need the Lord, and many even on R&S section who need the Lord, I see many Atheists here and there.
America overall is lacking the basic thing that will give them hope for another second, another minute, another hour, another day, and that's the Lord Jesus Christ.
God bless!!

I have always been a moderate with Democrat leanings. I enjoy watching the wing nuts on both ends of the political spectrum making fun of each other, although I think some take it to far, some just set themselfs up for insults.

1. I have and always will be a conservative. My views have not changed. The behavior of liberals here shows how angry and pathetic many of them are. I can count on my hand obvious liberals who can make a statement without calling me names or acting like I am an idiot.
2. There is no such thing as a moderate. You either are a conservative or not. You either believe in limited government and lower taxes or you do not. All those moderate Republicans always end up selling out Republican ideals.
The name Chainsaw comes from my capitalist leanings. I do not hug trees, I cut them down. I believe in smart economic progress and the liberal environmentalist movement believes in hugging trees and obstructing progress.

Conservative here who has been swayed on some issues and also understands a bit more as far as where the left is coming from. I'll always be a conservative, but this forum has given me more insight as to how others feel and why.
My user name is one that I've used for years. I live in the deep south and spelled it in a unique manner so that others would have a tougher time duplicating it.
BTW, I've been a PADI certifide diver since 1983. Great sport!

I started off moderate a looong time ago, and started moving right over the years as I became smarter, more enlightened, more learned. Being a true conservative involves looking at things objectively, unemotionally, to see the best path towards accomplishing an objective. Conservatism has proven to be successful over and over again. Liberals look for that first solution that pops in their heads, and are convinced its the correct way. They've tried their way for decades to detriment and failure. But yet they continue to recruit kids into their way of thinking, fostering and nurturing the next generation of die hard libbies.
My name has a special meaning that I cannot reveal.

1- I was liberal, still am. I've gotten a bit stronger with my beliefs after some of the posts here. I've also begun to stick up and like people in the political areana more after seeing how they are insulted here (usually without justification)
this board has changed my religious feelings, for years I've been seperate from organized religion because I jsut can't deal with the hypocracy and drama. but after being on here, I've begun to dislike said organized religion. too many fanatics who make those who believe in god seem ignorant or willing to give up freedom. I don't want to be viewed that way
2- long-time nickname. my favorite animal
