Did you ever like a President who was not a member of your party or whom you did not vote for?

If you are a Democrat - do you think President Bush is a GOOD MAN (MAN - not President)?

If you are a Conservative - do you think President Clinton was a GOOD MAN?

Wow. You've made me go WAY back. The closest that I can come and that wouldn't answer your question, is voting against Reagan in the '76 primaries. YIKES! Ford won that primary and we ended up with Carter.

(Still kicking myself).

Oh, forgot. Clinton. If you can get passed his indiscretions, he was okay. Newt Gingrich and the polls ran his tenure in office. :)

JFK. He died before I was born, does that count? I don't really affliate myself with any specific party. If I did, I'd have to say that my views align more along the Libertarian agenda. I want the government to get it's nose out of America's personal lives, and do what it was intended to do. Let's see--Nixon was a crook, Ford was okay, I suppose. Carter was a good man but a horrible president, Reagan rocked-his was the first election I was old enough to vote in and I voted for him, I can't stand Bush Sr., Clinton had some good ideas and I agreed with some of his decisions and policies, and I did vote for him. I've always liked W.

America mishandled Iraq for decades prior to our involvement in the early 90's. That we would face war with them was inevitable, and I believe W has handled the situation better than either Gore or Kerry would have. People call this war, 'Bush's war,' but it's America's war and has been rushing headlong at us since the middle of the last century. Our problems with Iraq did not suddenly spring up in 2003.

That said, had Bush not had these problems foremost to deal with, I believe that he would have been a better liked President, and this country would not be experiencing the division we are.

Sorry. That was a bit long winded.

No, that never happened, but I didn't like two I voted for, Nixon and Clinton. I was mad at Bush Sr. for not doing anything in his last term. I'm a conservative. I did not think President Clinton was a good man.

None. The first Presidential election I voted in was 1996, and I voted for Clinton.

2000, I voted for Gore.

2004, I voted for Kerry.

And between Dole and Bush, I think that neither man can be considered a "good man."

I didn't vote for George H. W. Bush, but I didn't think he was bad.

I didn't agree with some of his policies, but I never got a sense that he didn't belong in the Oval Office. He had earned his place.

I was still glad when he lost the Presidency, since that ended a twelve year slump for the Democrats. But I would have rather seen him be president for eight years, and Ronald Reagan only get four years.

Been voting since Nixon. I can't think of one democrat that I liked, ever. I Knew Clinton was wrong for the presidency, but people still voted him in.

Sorry, cannot. I do not get as wound up about the President as do most as I believe the greatest power and threat to this nation is the Congress. In congress I have voted for someone I did not think was the best because the other guy just needed to go away, he had become a corrupt careerist even if he did represent my party, and the new guy was not a socialist.

Of course. I didn't vote for Eisenhower or Kennedy or Clinton and I thought they all were exceptional. I do not think Bush is a good man. I do think that Clinton was an effective president and a good man.

I have always said GWB is a good man doing the best he can in a difficult situation, but that doesn't mean i approve of his policies. I support the president regardless of party. I respect the office if not the man. Once retired from public office a presidents stature rises from politician to statesman, so I am sure he will be highly reguarded once his term in office is over.

This is a trick question! President Clinton was a left of center republican.

I thought he was OK as President.

As a man he stinks. Never thought I would live to see someone sink lower than President Nixon.

I wasn't old enough to vote in the last presidential election--but I must say, there's just something about Bush that has put me off since the year 2000. I don't like the man. Or his policies.
