If a republican of the same species as the current boob gains white house, the war in Iraq will drag on endlessly with no plan to either fish or cut bait.
There will be another terrorist attack on the US shortly after the election just to remind people of who is calling the shots.
Gas prices will top $5.00/gallon.
Civilian warrant-less wire taps will be the rule rather than the exception.
Vast quantities of America's farm land will not produce due to global warming.
The cost of "health care" and insurance will triple.
The cost of food will go up by 75%
Social Security and Medicare will be elminated to fund "job growth" which is another way of saying that big corporations will get very significant tax breaks funded by cuts in essential programs.
High school will be replaced by boot camp.
Any dissent will be treated as treason and executed just as Ann Coulter demands.
And the guy in the white house, whoever he is, will stand there like a deer in the headlights.

This would only happen if Ron Paul wins the primaries. Not just saying that because he is awesome, but because the majority of Americans are against this war, and he is the only Republican who would end it...In his words "just come home". Well nevermind, the top tier dems won't end it asap either (Obama is talking about pulling out the majority of troops by next year, yet keeping a small amount in the region indefinitely..wtf? And Hillary voted for the damn thing in the first place)...
Oh and to answer your question given my comments...he would save America.

First the candidate that lost would scream foul, and try their best to hold up the election process.
The good news is all the people that have spent every waking moment hating bush won't have a melt down, they can just transpose the hatred to the new president.

Libs would cry, blame Bush and global warming, commence with a never ending counting of chads process, Gore would grow an even longer beard, put a new array of lies together into a movie that no one will see, the press will blame Bush, the TV media would blame Bush, knuckleheads in this forum will spew the looney idea that Blue staters are smarter than red staters, the Lib river of tears will continue to never end as they blame everyone but themselves for their losses -- ad nauseum, as usual.
