The wealthiest 1% of our country pays over a third of our total tax receipts, while the lowest 50% wage earners only pay 4% of our total tax receipts. It's a FACT libs, wake up. The rich pay more than their fair share in taxes.

for all the war loving republicans who don't enlist themselves but tell others to, shouldn't we have a mandatory draft for all of them? bush keeps complaining that we need more troops, who better than his hypocritical, war loving fellow republicans? that way we wouldn't need any troop surges; people who were dum enough to vote for bush TWICE could take care of it

Don't you know that small business owners provide 70% of the jobs in this country? When was the last time a poor man gave you a job?

Does this remind you of someone who cares about other people or about someone who is greedy if they can gain a buck?

Impeachment? It seems so easy but so PATRIOTIC. Pres. Bush has lied not only about the war, but other things concerning this war. WAR itself is not a sincere reason to stand on for Impeachment but obstructing the truth is. Pres. Bush has done that in more than enough ways. Impeachment will only set things partially right, but the real question is what do you do when you see wrong? Do you tell someone or do you allow the wrong to continue hoping that they will realize what they are doing is wrong? I'm concerned because being a veteran and knowing the heartaches of spouses along with parents, this war is death itself, without causing too much grief. Pres. Bush has not only set his presidency on lying but excusing himself from everything including his actions. What a character we have for a President, not only does try to throw rocks and hide his hand at the same time, but he doesn't realize how he is hurting the American people with these lies.

If you think democracy is something fine and good, you have been brainwashed, programmed, and indoctrinated with ANTI-AMERICAN propaganda.

I can tell you right now that all those people in the Twin Towers were not killed by atheists; neither were the ones hung by the Ku Klux Klan; neither were the girls burnt in Salem.
When are you going to realize who the truly dangerous/evil people are?

With all the heaving and screaming and red-faced apoplexy lately about "socialism" and people "taking your property" I just had to do a little reading.

I just don't see what's so terrible about it.

"Fairness doesn't just happen. It requires the right government policies."

Somewhere when reading the constitution I missed the part about fairness. Is this a new leftist right?

Nobody against the war in Iraq is debating the fact that Saddam Hussein was an evil, ruthless, maniacal tyrant, but why him? Why not any of the other evil dictators in the world, like the ones in Africa, South America, or Asia? Why not Kim Jong Il who actually HAD WMD's, admitted it, and isn't planning on getting rid of them anytime soon?

These are some of the responses I often hear, and my reply is quite simple,

"Other dictators have done that too."

Killed and tortured a ton of his own people.

Invaded another country.

Ignored the UN on something

Had WMD's at some point.

Supported some form of terrorism.

When we cannot even get rid of a despotic, anti-constitution, leader that 71% of the nation doesn't want???????????

I mean...we should be able to get rid of Bush...now...by any means necessary...right? Wouldn't that be democratic? I mean...the current methods are not really democratic, are they?

Do I contradict myself? Very well, I contradict myself. I am large, I contain multitudes.
