I just watched this documentary called "Loose Change" and I couldn't believe what I was watching!!! It quite literally threw me into a state of shock! What do you people think? Was 911 an inside job or what?

I was flipping around today and was looking for the FOX perspective on the wiretapping subpeonas, but watching the Big Story on FOX one got the alternate reality exclusive interview with Larry Birkhead, the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby. There's Rosie O'Donnell's daughter playing dress-up as a soldier, ooh! And Steve jobs about to make another billion dollars - aah! Floods in Texas, fires in California, and somebody suing a candy company - ooh la la.

Even the political segment was just gossip and fluff; Doug Schoen, promoting his book "The Power of the Vote" discussed Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's remarks that the evangelical right has hijacked religion in this country.

Explanations as to why would this be?

They always say that most are peace loving people? How do they know this? Do peace loving people fly planes into buildings? Wouldn't the safest thing be to send them to a place where they can't harm the USA? Would you feel good if a family member of yours was killed by one of them, just because we respected their religious freedom?

Ok I don't hate republicans or anything and a lot of them are reasonable but this forum is filled with whacked out republicans who give completely ridiculous answers and arguments with no reliable proof whatsoever to back them up. I even heard someone say that Ann Coulter was right about everything. Why does this forum lean so far to the right?

Colonel Bui Tin of the North Vietnamese Army said this,” The American antiwar movement was essential to our strategy", "Visits to Hanoi made by persons such as Jane Fonda, former Attorney General Ramsey Clark and various church ministers gave us confidence that we should hold on in the face of battlefield reverses", "America lost because of its democracy; through dissent and protest it lost the ability to mobilize a will to win."

The Tet Offensive in 1968 was a huge military defeat for the North Vietnam Army. This could have signaled the coming ended to the war with an American victory. However, because of the antiwar protest in the U.S. the NVA were emboldened and continued to fight. From 1969 until the end of the war, over 20,000 American soldiers lost their lives in a war that the United States did not have the resolve to win.

***Could this be happening today? Could todays protesters be puting our troops in harms way?

Please read my additions.

Why do people on anwers say things like "what ever is not killing our soldiers" HELLO, they signed up and ALOT signed up after we were at war. They knew what they were getting into. I have a few friends at war and NONE of them complain. They KNEW what they were in for when they signed up. It's not our country is bad for being at war it's OUR SOLDIERS ARE BRAVE FOR DOING WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!

I recently ran across a poll on here asking people to state their political affiliation. While I like the idea, I think there's a better way of going about it. I need just one democrat, one republican, one independant to type their affiliation as an answer, and only that. Then anyone else who stumbles across this question needs to give a thumbs up or a thumbs down to the party they are associated with. That way I can asses what the majority is, without having to scroll through countless pages of reasons why a person has chosen that side.

I'm still not clear as to the real reason why impeachment proceedings were brought against Bill Clinton- was it because he lied to Congress about a BJ? Okay, GW Bush has also lied MANY times to Congress-
Using the standards to justify the impeachment of Clinton- why hasn't Bush been impeached?

In Researching politicians, I have come to a discomforting conclusion that neither side, (republicans and democrats) can not come to a logical agreement on simple things, for example, the war on terrorism, terrible things we're happening over there before 9/11, ( as we we're shown in the Gulf War). Why we didn't stop saddam when we we're over there in the first place, I'm not sure.
What i'm confused about is why so many people are agianst the war in Iraq. I am aware the the 9/11 attacks were not planned by Iraqi terrorist, but intstead Suadi Terrorist. But does that have to matter? Even if we didn't find the infamous weapons of mass destruction (which i've read we have and haven't lol), Is America not contributing to a very great, and wonderful thing in the World? We are helping put a stop to terrorism, we are saving lives are we not? We are helping build a peaceful and safe place to live for millions of families? Sorry if this info is inaccurate, there are so much biased people.. :(

Dubya's domestic policy looks like democratic one: too much government control, too much spendings. Also, he wants to legalize illegal immigrants, just like leftists want to. Is he a closeted Democrat? He ought to be!

Many of the undesirable traits of illegal aliens stem in large part from the simple fact that they are illegal. They use expensive emergency rooms because they lack insurance or are afraid a primary-care doctor might create a paper trail. They don't file tax returns because of the same fear, and they turn to welfare or other social services because their illegal status consigns them to lowest rung of the economy. We infantilized undocumented workers by relegating them to second-class status, and then we chastise them for being dependent on the nanny state.
I know it sounds counterintuitive, but with immigration, perhaps forgiving a crime may be the best way to restore law and order.

I noticed that not long ago Republicans accused all Democrats who were critical of the war in Iraq of being unpatriotic and bashing the troops-

Today, many Republicans have come out against the war- are they being unpatriotic and bashing the troops, or is it okay when it's the Republicans are doing the complaining?

And I'm an Independent btw, I see both parties as being equally flawed- i just find the double standards , particularly coming from the right wing, to be quite amusing...

I keep hearing people say this, but no one has given a specific example. It's easy to see that Fox News leans to the right, but what are the reasons some people think the major networks are liberal?
