The Americans` who can better answer this question would be the 70 Americans Citizens that were kidnapped by Iran , and held hostage for 1/4 of his zombie presidency , and he never got them out in 444 days !! That's` the way to show em` how tough you are jimmy !!!! He hasn`t changed one iota , he is on all these other sidelines so hopefully people will not remember what total and complete failure he was . Oh` , did I fail to mention his fiscal policies got us up to a 21% interest rate ,. and don`t you remember the gas rationing ,sitting in the gas line in your car for a few hours just to get 10 gallons of gas ??? Remember when you could only buy gas on certain days of the week , and gas stations were forced to close daily because of no supply ??? Here`s some facts for you carter lovers, before he became President he pledged to "eliminate" the Federal Deficit ? By 1979 the Fed deficit was $27.7 billion dollars , and in only one year , in 1980 , he finished his "elimination" process by having it go all the way up to $59 billion dollars in the hole !! When he left office ( Thank You JESUS ) in 1980 , unemployment was at 7.7% , we were at an inflation rate of 4.8% when he took office , and when he left he had it up to 12% !!! He can`t build enough houses to make up for the ones` he caused American families to lose during his watch as President with the 21% interest rate ! He had this country on our last breath !! He was useless as a President , just ask the 70 American Hostages ???? Now ; You tell me something he did in office , other than leave, that helped this nation ?? Get a Real History Book , one that hasn`t been revised by the liberals !!

No, Jimmy Carter was a nice guy that meant well, he just wasn't a good president.

Hell no. He's a humanitarian, despite the terrible presidency in the final years of the '70s. Better yet, I would actually tell those here who stated that they would tell Jimmy Carter to take a long walk off a short pier, to actually do that instead.

Would you do that if I told you to? Mind you I would find one that had several great white sharks swimming beneath it before I did and if your question had said George Bush instead of Jimmy Carter I would gladly throw him off it with you following seconds behind him.

He'd probably blame the short pier on the aparthied in Israel, and the Jews purposely not building a long pier.

Way too smart and polite to be an American, we could use him in Canada.
A great man.
Most seem to believe a presidents job is to get Americans killed

Absolutely not!
President Jimmy Carter will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the great peacemakers of this century. Also he will be known as a great humanitarian. Even at retirement he is active in the Habitat for Humanity project. This enables families with little income to own their homes that have been repaired by volunteers. In addition he has been one of the most honest Presidents we have had.
PEACE
