I'm sure all right-wing neoconservative radio show talk hosts would love to close all the borders and hire a NO-BID contractor at tax payer expense to build another wall just like the Berlin Wall. But just remember this is a nation of immigrants, and a guest worker program will only exploit immigrants, let the corporations pay them lower, treat them like slaves with no human rights. There has to be a better answer-- This is not what America stands for. Remember it's the corporations that really have been bringing immigrants here, since they brought blacks from Africa, so that they wouldn't have to pay anyone including us Americans a fair wage. This is a Look The Other Way Scheme, because I'm pulling the wool over yours eyes again. While the fat cats laugh all the way to the bank.

Lou Dobbs who is on CNN, considered by many to be an extremely liberal media, has been preaching about closing the borders for several years now every night on his show. He is probably a bit more dignified than conservative talk radio, but he has clued many people in about this subject. He is radically opposed to amnesty for illegals and wants the borders closed. Another interesting fact about him is that he is married to a Mexican who supports his position on this matter.

No. "Talk Radio"--at least the right-wing--tries to make it sound that way.
But the reality is that the GOP had control of Congress for 12 years and did nothing except talk--while the immigration problem grew steadlily worse. And continued to do nothing--except talk--even after 9/11 made it clear that the open border was a national security threat and not just a doorway for illegal immigrants.
So how are we supposed to believe the right cares whether the border is open--or that terrorists mingt sneak in. Their actions speak far louder than their words.

Not necessairly, but immigrants would have to become citizens of the United States by following our laws, and not sneaking in over or under fences. Do you think it's fair that some come through legal chanels and follow the laws, while others don't?

If we have learned nothing else in the last eight years, it is that the hard right wing of this country is completely incompetent in the day to day running of government. Would the laws about immigration be more Draconian? Almost certainly. But the agencies in charge of enforcing them would probably be run by cronies and political allies rather than capable people. So...no.

without a doubt! talk radio is much maligned. Feinstein claims that they incite decent without any knowledge of the facts about specific subjects. that's a bunch of crap. I would be willing to bet that most talk show host research bills and particular topics in far greater detail than she does before she votes on them!

You're wrong.
The media has nothing to do with the boarders being open or closed. It's the government. Since the federal government rarely listens to what the public has to say, the media wouldn't change anything.
And either way, talk radio will never be popular in the mainstream. Just admit it, no one likes to listen to some brainwashed conservative talk about politics (in monotone) while they're driving.
But if it did literally own America, then the boarders would be closed. The Jews would be killed, so would the Muslims and any other minority in America...because that's part of the conservative dream.
