Why do people on anwers say things like "what ever is not killing our soldiers" HELLO, they signed up and ALOT signed up after we were at war. They knew what they were getting into. I have a few friends at war and NONE of them complain. They KNEW what they were in for when they signed up. It's not our country is bad for being at war it's OUR SOLDIERS ARE BRAVE FOR DOING WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!

I read some of these answers and realize that we, as a society, have incredibly short memories.

In 1993, U.S. Marines were dragged through the streets of Somalia, burned and hung from a bridge. What was our response?

Americans stood idly by.

An attack on the USS Cole when 17 sailors were killed. What action was taken?

We said nothing.

It wasn't until the attacks hit our own soil on September 11 that we actually took notice that there were people out there that hate us and want us to "convert or die".

At that point, our leaders asked our brave men and women to take the war to their doorstep. Young people signed up in droves. Since that time, we have not had a terrorist attack on our soil. Nobody "likes" war, but it is a necessary evil. Our soldiers are putting themselves in harms way so that we may have a greater chance of being safe. Do not diminish there effort by saying that they are over ther in vain, or they are fighting "Bush's War".

Their commitment deserves and demands our respect.

Most American soldiers are brave. I have a friend over in Iraq now and he was recalled... his wife is 5 mo pregnant. The whole family is brave. If it were not for my wife and two daughters, I would join ... but I have a responibility to them. I wish people would stop being sheep and look up the information for themselfes... see what is really going on.

Iraq had fairly no longer something to do with 9/11... And by way of the way, there are various ecu international places in touch in Iraq and Afghanistan, many Europeans have died to assist a conflict that had no longer something to do with us and thank you to this conflict the entire international is in simple terms approximately commencing yet another substantial conflict, which who's accustomed to the way it is going to conclusion, yet actually,i do no longer think of that is going to have a helpful result...

You go girl! Completely agree with you and with eldude's comment. And saying that they died needlessly is an insult to every American Soldier in Iraq... the majority of the soldiers believe in this war and the fight for freedom. People are ignorant about the war because they want to be. When you only listen to one side of the story, and accept it with no evidence to back it up....that is ignorance. And I feel sorry for everyone who is like that.
God Bless America!!!

Sheeple listen to the liberal media and believe whatever pablum the media puts out.

It doesn't have to even resemble the truth.

Sheeple beleive Al Gore.

Sheeple believe Michael Moore.

Sheeple vote for Democrats because the democrats say they will give the sheeple free money.

There should be an IQ test required in order to be allowed to vote... but more than 50% of the population would fail... Something about public education training kids to not think.

People are going to keep being ignorant about the war. They have to complain about something, and that is one of the main things going on right now. They will never know the complete story...no matter what anyone really says.

They use it as an outlet to be mad about something.

I agree with you Kacey. I served and I support the war. Its too bad these bumbling idiots are to ignorant to realize the importance of it. And how their bitching is only hurting our cause. If you honestly believe that we should not be fighting over there you need your head checked. Are you not aware that the people we fight vow to kill us. They vow to covert the world to their Islam. This is not a game and its war. War is not always easy and won in a few months or years. A war of this importance against this enemy will take time. Not doing so will be a grave mistake. Youll see.

One is perfectly justified in complained about dumbass George Bush's pig-headed 'decider' stupidity. This guy is a disaster for the US and his policy in Iraq is a total failure. This is not to say that good things have not been accomplished but it has gone way beyond the point where the concept of "winning" at anything has any relevance. Now Bush's stupid shove-democracy-down-their-throats mentality will achieve nothing but more needless US troop deaths. None of the foregoing in any way disparages the work done by US service personnel serving in Iraq, but there is a point where it becomes obvious that the benefits to US taxpayer are virtually nil. And dick-head George would keep the US forces in Iraq forever if he could, and for NO other reason that he is the Decider and no one else in America has an ounce of brains except him (according to him). The rest of us don't count.

Which is also why now he is pushing to reward businesses that hire illegal Mexican criminals in VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW by pushing his utterly STUPID "Guest Worker" nonsense and jamming to get a law passed to make it legal for business to hire illegals in violation of federal law.

He makes NO sense at all, the dipwad.

I would have to agree with you. Being somebody who served 8 yrs in the Army and spent one of those in Iraq. Everybody who has not been always wants to have an opinion but never wants to do the deed themselves. I am tired of hearing those people running their mouths.

We all have different points of view of how we see how others go to war and risk their lives to save our own. I think they are just not mature enough to understand what is really going on around. You probably see it this way, and I probably see it in another way. We all have different prespectives towards war and we all express differently.
**Hope this helped!**
