People have asked us to condemn terrorism. God damn that's what we're trying to do. You can either appreciate it or advance the hate and intolerance that creates more barriers between us.
And btw the attacks were by fanatics who abused the Quran. At least I dont go around blasphemizing the rapist Pope! And defaming religions even though he was the ICON of Catholocism and had a heightened responsibility as such a person. You really need to contribute to the tolerance you demand so much from us and never give in return or appreciate when we give you it.
Peace.

Maybe we should take a closer look at this Qu'ran. What was one of The great prophet's first acts, ATTACKING MECCA. Jesus never attacked anyone, and was chaste. Mohammed had many wives, many very young. The middle east has always been at war, and always will be until we show the desert rats hiding in caves and behind the women and children with IED's who's boss.
Religion of Peace is all over Iran
Just now, Sharia law judges are executing MINORS
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/06/26/AR2007062601968.html
For:
Under Iranian law, capital offenses include adultery by married people, incest, rape, four convictions of an unmarried person for fornication, three convictions for drinking alcohol, or four convictions for homosexual acts among men.
Leiberman had it right. Destroy Ahmadinejad.
A few more stories for the libs who won't follow the link
Several of the child offenders on death row are members of minority groups, such as Iranian Arabs, Afghan refugees, homosexuals, and young girls who had been abused and molested.
The most prominent capital case is that of Atefeh Rajabi , who was hanged on Aug. 15, 2004, in the town of Neka, in northern Mazandaran province. She was 16 and had been sentenced to death for a fourth conviction of crimes against chastity. Her crimes included being alone in a car with a boy and being caught at a cafe without a chaperon. Officials claimed she was 22, but her birth certificate listed 1988 as her year of birth. She was arrested repeatedly as a child by Iran's Revolutionary Guard, the first time when she was 13.

I knew an islamic woman whom i met a few years ago who said they put up with us till we convert. I don't think islam isa religion of peace becuase way back when when they were conquering places they said they tolerated all religions but christians and other people were considered outcasts when everyone else converted for a tax cut.

Islam is a religion like any other, based on peace. The corruption in the religion comes from the 'leaders' of the religion, claiming that the poeple who do not believe their way, should 'die' or whatever. The Muslim religion is actually a 'spin-off' of Christianity, just as Christianity was to Judaism, which we know are both religion's of peace.

There is no such thing as a peace-loving religion.....not one of them are.
Most of the major wars in the history of civilization have been fought over religion...millions of people have been tortured and killed in the name of some god.
Religion is just an excuse to make war and subjugate the loser.

I'm a seldom-practicing Catholic, but I respect Islam's followers, because they are more devout than most people I know. Bad people are bad people whether it be those who shoot up schools, become serial killers, or embezzle money, con the elderly of their life savings, etc...Terrorists are extremists, but it is religion that is their reason, as a lot of past wars or events were started. (The Crusades, The Inquisition, Witch Hunts)

All religions make that claim but when you look at history you will see how bloody they are when they achieve power over other people.

What people say that? I'd imagine that the original views of Muhammad do advocate peace, but they have been so dwarfed and changed by Islamist Extremists that the original morals no longer exist.

Simple math 1.6 billion people very few are doing any such killing. If my family member was killed by one I wouldn't think their motive was my respect of religious fredom. You are blaming an entire religion for the acts of a few. Do you assume that all christians are like Tim McViegh who did the Oklahoma CIty bombing? Or like the Protestants and Catholics who were killing each other in Northern Ireland?
