Look, I don't care what you think about "An Inconvenient Truth" (though the top climate scientists gave it 5 stars for accuracy)

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/2006-06-27-gore-science-truth_x.htm

I don't care if you think Gore is a fat hypocritical idiot. Al Gore is completely irrelevant to global warming, except that he and "An Inconvenient Truth" have attracted attention to the issue.

In that film Gore simply presented some of the scientific evidence that humans are the primary cause of global warming. He did not invent GW - heck, he's never even researched it! Criticizing Gore is irrelevant to the issue.

People need to stop obsessing about Gore and examine the scientific evidence

http://ipcc-wg1.ucar.edu/wg1/wg1-report.html

Gore is right about one thing - any reasonable person who examines all the evidence with an open mind should conclude that humans are almost certainly the primary cause of GW.

Why are global warming skeptics obsessed with Al Irrelevant Gore?

Arguably, Rove is responsible (to a significant degree) for the massacre the GOP received in the 2006 midterms. Even Bush hinted that Rove wasn't doing his job after that slaughter. Do Bush and Rove have some secret pact with Satan and Cheney?

On Iraq, Bush seemed to be practically the last man in America to realize his military strategy was failing*. Once inside the charmed Bush circle, people tend to stay there, and rise to the level of their incompetence*. The Administration has also overvalued loyalty ,tending to shut out other talented people and giving loyalists jobs for which they might not be suited*. Excessive loyalty only enables drift and dysfunction*. Bush's reflex to stand by his man points to a key weakness in his Management style*. Politically, it can put Bush in the position of embracing failure*. Bush's management problems begin with the way he evaluates and values people*. After 9/11, Bush embraced the CIA and eschewed any finger pointing after the massive intelligence failure that contributed to 9/11*. his Presidency has sustained damage from which it may never recover*. It's no wonder he doesn't read newspapers*.

I was a registered democrat and pretty liberal until I was 19. At this point, from out of the blue it hit me. I simply was more practical than liberals were. They were idealists and I didn't agree really with anything they stood for (if we know what they stand for.) I changed my party to republican and never turned back. I'm happy as a realist. Liberals don't know what that means.

When did you become conservative?

How many of you go on a regular basis to abortion clinics and speak with these women who are considering abortion? I mean calmly speak, too, not screaming and throwing signs in their faces. How many of you have ever counseled these women, prayed with them, told them they have other options? How many of you have offered to help them with pre-natal care and finding an adoptive home? How many of you realize that laws will not stop abortions? Laws haven't stopped drugs now have they?

I am not for abortion, but I am against it being outlawed. If it were illegal, there would still be abortions, but they would be performed in basements with household objects, likely resulting in two deaths instead of one.

since the NAAFT treaty was signed, border guards on the Mexico-US border have tripled. What does that tell you?

The question is - if the US are happy about doing away with these "free trade" restrictions in countries like Mexico, isn't it right that they do away with their own free trade restrictions?

I mean if they're such fans of the free market, then why not support it?

This is a Democratic Republic, and not a Monarchy like Great Britain, or an Empire like they have in Syria where leadership is passed down from husband to wife, father to son etc...

Isn't it about time we broke away from this dynastic ideal of Bush, Clinton or their cousins etc....

Time for A CHANGE AMERICA...
