Well ... Bush is considered little dim and Rove is believed to be the master mind for all 'evil' things done by and happened to GOP.
If Rove gets fired, Bush and GOP will loose a whipping boy. Who will they blame for all new problems and mistakes till Bush gets out of office?

I don't think Rove is as much to blame as the incompetent leadership of the party is to blame...
Rove has some power, but not enough to make the entire party poor leaders... they did that themselves...
and a campaign manager can only do so much for a candidate that's already shot himself in the foot...
