"I am convinced a volunteer army would be an army of the poor and the black and the brown,"

You guessed it! The same one that called the troops stupid idiots just a few days ago! Of course it wasn't a joke. Kerry was stating the obvious in his mind. He hates the military along with most of the liberal democrat party.

The women reporting said that while it seemed to be a misguided statement, that she believes America is too smart to be mislead by spinsters who want to make a decorated American veteran and US Senator, an anti-american anti-troops escape goat.

IT WAS FOX NEWS....I couldn't believe it. I bet its the last time we see that reporter.....they actually cut out her final statements on the FOX NY website.....LOL

If he's not sorry, why did he issue the "web-only" apology?

Who let the Bin Laden family fly out of America after 9/11?
Who called on the terrorists to bring it on?
Who called himself a war president and looks at every foreign policy issue with war on his mind?
Who created the terrorist training ground in Iraq?
I think G.W. Bush is actually the best friend international terrorism could have, be it helping families to escape, supplying weapons or just generally drumming up support for the terrorist cause.

Politics has always been a touchy subject. Thus we have have sayings like "Two things you don't discuss, religion and politics". It cannot be denied that political rhetoric appears to be dialed up and in your face today. However, has it really become more pronounced and widespread? or Is it more due to the fact that there is more access to information (Mass media and Internet) than ever before?

This is the worse schemed hatred of political games on both sides ever in the U.S. Politicians have turned this country into a divided chess board of hate. And we have become the pawns. It is time to demand character and job worthiness, forget the one liners leave that to the late shows. Shame on all politicains! GET SERIOUS LEADERS, LOOK WHERE YOU HAVE TAKEN US!

Agree or disagree? Discuss plz. Personally I think governments should be afraid of their people (in the way that it's the people that can vote them out - democratic voting system etc) but somehow this doesn't seems to happen :(

John Kerry needs to atone for his sins. He should go meet the troops face-to-face and apologize for his thoughtless remarks. If not, then he should resign.

The lawyer who divulged President George W. Bush's drunken-driving arrest days before the 2000 election was arrested at gunpoint Tuesday after he was seen on a highway overpass carrying a toy gun while dressed in an Osama bin Laden costume.

Tom Connolly, 49, of Scarborough, was charged with criminal threatening after he stood at a construction site visible to commuters on a major highway while wearing a Halloween holiday costume and waving a sign.

"The whole thing is just incredibly bizarre," said South Portland Police Chief Ed Googins. "It just crossed the line."

Connolly, who ran for governor as a Democrat in 1998 and lost, met with reporters briefly after posting $500 cash bail to secure his release from the Cumberland County Jail in Portland. Criminal threatening is a misdemeanor.

"There was a First Amendment this morning when I woke up. I don't know how it evaporated with the dawn," he said.

Idiotic....YES. Free speech....??????
