If he's not sorry, why did he issue the "web-only" apology?

Jonjon,

You're such a punk on so many levels it's difficult for me to respond. I heard what John Kerry said, I didn't need to have it spun for me. Who are you quoting when you day "he's a coward, he hates the troops?" President served in the national guard and was honorably discharged.
It is NOT true that the military recruits are kids who don't stand a chance in college, you've been listening to Kerry too long.
The war is NOT illegal, John Kerry himself voted to authorize it. Terrorists had no trouble finding recruits before the war, the only difference is now we're fighting back, and winning! When's the last time we had a terrorist attack on American soil? More than 5 years.

YOU need to get a dose of reality.

Maybe "his people" don't trust him in front of the camera for a while?

Maybe someone else had to write what they did for him because he refused to make an apology of any kind, even the half-hearted one that was sent over the net?

Maybe he's a wimp!?!?!

He's not sorry.
Since the early 70's this man has been besmirching the military.

Oh, he'll readily point out he was once a soldier, when he thinks it'll benefit him, but his recent comments are the true indicator of his hate for the Armed Services.

The leftist elite all seem to share Kerry's view.

What I don't get is why Charlie Rangel counts himself as a Dem;
this is a man that has experienced combat--Korea to be exact.

I guess the DNC must have something on him.

Still chewing on this bone?

What should he do - fly to the White House and prostrate himself before W?

If you allow yourself to be distracted by this patently obvious GOP hay-making festival a week before elections, you're just a sheep, period. Kerry is not running for office, unlike Mark Foley was.

"He's a coward, he hates the troops." Yeah, you people are great at channeling Rush Limbaugh, but you suffer from a bit of a disconnect with reality. Kerry is a decorated vet. Meanwhile Bush is a draft-dodging chickenhawk. Who "disrespects our troops" - the guy who makes some offhand remark about the way military recruiters fish for warm bodies amongst kids who don't stand a chance at college - which is TRUE - or the guy who sends thousands of soldiers to their deaths for a pointless, illegal war of choice that's actually abetting terrorist recruiters?

Because he's an ***! Whatever he meant, it sure did not come out that way. He really put his foot in his mouth this time. Besides he said that he won't apologize for making that comment even though it offended a lot of people because he said that he was "insulting the president".

HE probably didn't. Some Demorat secretary probably did, at the orders of the Demorat leadership. In order for Kerry to issue an apology, he would have to realize he did something wrong. In order for that to happen, he would have to have a functioning brain. Ergo, no apology. God bless America. VOTE REPUBLICAN!!!!!!!!!

He did. He issued a "vocalized" apology to several news networks and the Don Imus radio show.

Web-only means that particular apology was offered on his website only.

An apology typed by some staff member don't cut it .
He needs to go to Iraq and apologise directly to the troops

Probably for the same reason that Bush has never issued a Public apology for getting the US involved in his farce of a war in Iraq!

Personally I would not have apologized at all!

But Bush was making a huge deal out of it instead of attending to all of the other more serious problems we have in this otherwise great country of ours!

He's a liberal elitist, and he's only going through the motions of apologizing like a kid who's made to apologize by his parents or teachers. It was as though: "okay, I'm trapped, I'll apologize to those idiots."

He's not sorry because he went to the race track; he's "sorry" because he lost.
