Mark Foley announced today that he is a gay man and an alcoholic. This may not bode well for the Republicans during the upcoming elections. Foley admitted to carrying on perversive emails while voting on legislation. He also stated he only emailed while he was drunk. The implication is he voted on issues while he was drunk.
Other reports stated the Republican leadership in the congress was well aware of Foley's behavior. Some Republican representatives stated they had reported Foley's behavior months ago and thought the situation had been handled by the leadership. The affair seems to mirror the sex scandels in the catholic church.
Do you see this event having any effect on your vote in November, or do you see it as just an isolated incident?

Hey, Isn't China communist????
HMMMM.....
Though China did start to privatize because they are smart and kept morphing into what worked, it's still not based in Capitalism. It's still based in Socialism.

Anybody see how bad Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter are trying to make this into the Democrats fault?

Also, did you see how Fox News posted (D-FL) Mark Foley....NOT (R-FL) Mark Foley lastnight?
And they say the liberal media plays games, bet Matt Drudge won't have that splattered all over his website.

-- Give out social security depending on your assets-- If you are well off, you get less, if you are poor and desperate, you get what you need to live.
Right now, at taxpayers expense,( POOR taxpayers taken out of payroll taxes)--
Rich people are collecting much more than they need each month and poor are still barely scraping by.
Is it fair that Poor taxpayers have to contribute to padding old geezer's wallets? --While they don't need it and are collecting well past what they ever put in as the years go on....

Airport security is a freaking joke. If we're so worried about terrorists why have the borders of our nation not been tightly secured.

"If you want total security, go to prison. There you're fed, clothed, given medical care and so on. The only thing lacking is freedom."
Dwight Eisenhower

3000 - 4000 people died on 9/11 we've killed between 43,000 and 48,000 Iraqis in the years since, that's not including our other wars. who are the terrorists again? I can think of one that lives in a big white house.

Remember Iraq had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11.

In a recent question I pointed out that the Republicans in congress intend to legalize torture of American citizens. Including the rape and torture of American children.

"John Yoo publicly argued there is no law that could prevent the President from ordering the torture of a child of a suspect in custody – including by crushing that child’s testicles."

One of the responses I got was that "terrorists" don't deserve ANY rights. Do you agree with this statement? It goes against all prior US law.

Don't you worry that non "terrorists" could accidently be labled "terrorsts" and unjustly tortured?

That's what this bill allows

If they can not remember important conversation about national securty and can't protect our children from petifiles then how can we trust them to fight this war on terror?

This is all being done under the guise of fighting "terrorists." It goes against legal precedent dating back over 700 years. Back to the Magna Carta. Do you support the president in this matter?
