The whole repuglican party is the party of hate, Mark Foley is just a symptom, the illness is buried deeply in the repuglican politics of hate. The cover up needs to be investigated even more then the acts of Foley. We need to set things right with America and the world. The repukes will never in a million years do this as they are way to busy covering their azz.

For "I don't hug trees" adultery is not against the law, unlike trying to bugger teen boys you idiot. As for the question yes Foley epitomizes the GOP he is the head of the committee for exploited children; he sponsored a bill to punish adults for trying to seduce children on line. Couple this with the attempt by GOP leadership to cover the entire episode up you have a microcosm of what the GOP stands for. Not to beat an old horse, but then in quick succession he is an alcoholic, a homosexual and was abused by a "clergyman" ....please.

No, Foley simply epitomizes the fallibility of all people...both conservative and liberal. However, scumbag that he is, Foley did highlight one striking difference between Liberals and Conservatives. He left in disgrace. Liberals who have been caught in some sort of morality scandal, often have their faults ignored and go on business as usual, leave kicking and screaming about how they are being discriminated against, or go to "rehab" and come back and are celebrated for their bravery.
So, there is no hypocrisy. Conservatives when they falter receive their retribution. Liberals when they falter...not so much.

Mark Foley is a developing story, the reaction to which epitomizes the messed up priorities of people that put "got ya" politics over sincere expressions of concern for the actual victims. How very sick, indeed. You might even say it's perverse.

He sure as hell behaves accordingly. First committing the crimes, then being ousted and ashwed, then finding excuses and checking into "rehab" for whatever flimsy reasoning.
In rehab he then can wait until the public got tired of the story or another scandal retired his.
Typical GOP tactics. Has anyone at the GOP apologized to the boy? Now that would be a first; but i guess they are too busy covering their a.s.s.e.s. and claim they have only heard of that from the ABC newscast.
