I just watched a report from beruit in lebanon and it does not look good , a downtown area of apartments and retail stores and some offices heavily bombed.LEBANON people are vowing now to fight to the death rather then live under the constant threat of attack.HAS the excessive support of Israel made the region unstable to the point of people attacking with nothing more then stones and knifes against f-16 fighter jets , cruise missles and apache helicopters.
THESE people in lebanon seem completely convinced to fight to the ddeath at this point.what have we done. what have we done.

Is that where all the blind rage is coming from.
You know the whole "let's get em before they get us" thing?
Is that why they act tough in their grown up life.
Seems most bullies from high school grow up and live decently, maybe it's the opposite for them.. huh?

Ok, so here are my thoughts.
There are some 3 year old kids playing Barbie's together when suddenly both of them go to grab the same barbie dress. They pull and tug until one of them jumps on the other and they start to hit each other and pull each others hair. The children have just begun a little "war" between each other.

And here today we have grown adults behaving in a way no better than these 3 year olds. A war has erupted over greed and money and so our president thinks what better way to solve this than a war. they pull out their guns, fill up their tanks, and pack up the grenades. And off they go to destroy a country and kill millions of inasant kids and adults.

My point of view is that all this could be solved by creating a meeting room and chatting over the problem with officials. This dream I know is anything but realistic in the world we live in today. But why could this have not been an idea before the war began? It's definetly more mature and humane. thanks

Or dare I say Good and Evil? John Adams had it right when he said that the Constitution is for a moral and religious people only. With out a moral compass we will head down the path to Socialism and ruin. When Bill Clinton was having sex in the oval office Conservatives were told "he is a President, not a boy scout. Well maybe we need a boy scout. Where is the honor that America was built on? COME ON AMERICA WAKE UP!!!

How do Conservatives stay Conservative and maintain the majority in the political office ???

I thought to myself that much of the debgate on illegal immagration focuses on how we cannot support them with our welfare and social security systems.

Then i thought to myself... i had a problem with welfare and social security long before i cared about millions of illegals coming into our country.

If the welfare system were reformed (and i admit not having given sufficient thought as to how) in the way conservatives like myself have always wanted it to be, would we still have the same objections to amnesty?

and part 2- Does Bush's social security plan protect the program from the stress of the illegals? does it, in a sense, prohibit them from affecting american workers and give them an incentive to have proper paperwork?

i mean to set aside the obvious terrorist risk, and i do not condone illegal immigration. i for one think our current laws should be enforced and every one removed... but i want to discuss this one avenue of the debate, and use it to address our welfare system..

Social programs are not compassionate. Put just a little but of thought into it. Social programs are not voluntary, and are therefore not compassionate. They help a tiny fraction of the population, while stealing from and screwing the rest of the population.

An analogy: Sex is great, and a beatiful expression of love between 2 people; as long as it is consensual, as soon as it is forced on someone, then it is rape (which is a crime last I checked).
If I voluntarily give my money to charity, that is compassion and is a beautiful thing. However, if I am forced to give money to charity, under threat of incarceration, then it is no different than rape.

If charity is not done out of love, it is not charity, and it is not compassion.

She claims to be a Christian, but having sex outside of marriage, committing voter fraud, and making personal attacks against those who disagree with you aren't exactly "Christian" behaviors. Also, she has said that women aren't as bright as men and shouldn't be allowed to vote. Well, if that's the case, why is she registered to vote (in 2 states, I've heard) and why does she have a career in political commentary?

Ok many people of the Jewish religion side politically with the left. Yet is the American political left that beats up on Israel for taking military action to defend itself in the region? Its the American political right that backs up Israel in such cases. So why is it that most American Jewish followers continue to side with the Democrats (left) in politics? This makes no sense unless those in America of the Jewish Faith are far different from those in Israel where 90% support the current military action?

Do you think Nancy Reagan is a hero for embracing stem cell research? I think she's a hypocrite. Her and her hubby did all that they could to block advances in that area. They used their influence to block research that could've potentially saved lives, thus causing untold suffering. All of the sudden, Ronnie gets REALLY REALLY sick, and Nancy is all the sudden a pro-choice liberal who is all for stem cell research.
It's like I always say: Put a conservatives back up against the wall, and watch how quickly they embrace liberal ideals.
here is one answer i received from loubean:
It's the same with any celebrity. Do you think Michael J. Fox lobbied for stem cell research and the like BEFORE he had Parkinsons disease? And...he's a liberal! Yipes..didn't mean to out one from your side....and Nancy Reagan never turned into a liberal..don't insult her like that.

The point is, Fox was never against the research..the Reagans were, until they could benefit. Loubean is retarded

Compassion is murdering children before they are even born?
Compassion is stealing my tax dollars (literally food from my child's mouth) to pay for your grandfather's retirement (not because he is disabled, but because is is lucky enough to live to age 65, and nothing more)?
Compassion is stealing my tax dollars to pay for my neighbor's healthcare because he CHOSE to smoke 3 packs a day?
Compassion is stealing my child's opportunity for college because he was not born with black skin?
Compassion is forcing my company to pay unskilled labor more than their labor is worth (resulting in fewer hirings, more layoffs, higher prices)?
Compassion is stealing my tax dollars to pay for public education instead of letting me keep my money to pay for a real education at private school?
Compassion is trying to take away my guns so I can't defend my familiy from criminals you let loose on the street?

WTF kind of sick world do you live in where any of these things are considered compassion?

International terrorists think they can abolish the institutions of democracy and the free modern world. Blowing up infrastructure has not been proven to have any affect in the pass, except for more retaliation and more hatred towards terrorism. Why are terrorists so stupid? Haven't they figured out that bombs can't destroy the idea of freedom?
Why can't they realize the only way their "problems" will be solved is through diplomacy?
