Compassion is stealing my tax dollars to pay for my neighbor's healthcare because he CHOSE to smoke 3 packs a day?
Compassion is stealing my child's opportunity for college because he was not born with black skin?
Compassion is forcing my company to pay unskilled labor more than their labor is worth (resulting in fewer hirings, more layoffs, higher prices)?
Compassion is stealing my tax dollars to pay for public education instead of letting me keep my money to pay for a real education at private school?

Compassion is not caring and being supportive of children AFTER they are born, just caring about them before.

Compassion is spending BILLIONS of my tax dollars rebuilding Iraq, while our bridges and highways at home crumble and decay.

Compassion is throwing stem cells in the trash, rather than using them for life-saving research.

Compassion is cutting pay and benifits of our troops while they are fighting your immoral war.

Compassion is spending an extra 3 days "on vacation" while the people of New Orleans die.

WTF kind of sick world do you live in where any of these things are considered compassion?

Compassion is: sympathetic consciousness of others' distress together with a desire to alleviate it. Where's yours?

I'm not sure you understand the definition of compassion.

com·pas·sion (kəm-păsh'ən) pronunciation
n.

Deep awareness of the suffering of another coupled with the wish to relieve it. See synonyms at pity.

While your argument here is sarcasm, or cynicism you miss the point. Each of your arguments has a counterpoint, some that corresponds with the above definition.

1) Some have compassion for those who were raped, and deem that it should be a person's own choice whether they choose to keep the child or have it aborted. The definition of when life begins is debatable, but I recommend Rowe v. Wade.
2) Many agree that it Social Security (I believe you are referring to it) will be bankrupt within the next 50 years. However, the payments people receive are based on the amount of money they contribute to the fund over the years of their employment. The age at which people become eligible is no longer 65, and they also must meet other requirements.
3) Again, your neighbor must be qualified to receive treatment under either a)medicare (a federal program) or b)medicaid (state). The criteria includes either a maximum income level, or age/income level requirements.
4) As long as your child is intelligent, works hard in school, gets good grades, and doesn't commit felonies there is no way that your argument is of any merit. No, he may not get his first choice, yes, it may be because someone of equal qualifications but different race is chosen. This is something that you just have to live with, it's called diversity.
5) This question is too vague to address. What company? Who is forcing them? What is their level of compensation?
6) Funding public schools is a vital part of any community. Without it there would be more "unskilled" workers for your company to pay... Also it is important that everyone in America reach a minimum level of education. See: No Child Left Behind.
7) There are no laws that do this. Any U.S. citizen is afforded the right to bear arms under the second amendment. Most who are trying to limit the sale of guns are doing so for automatic and high caliber weapons. People who own automatic weapons do not use them for hunting, or defense. A shotgun would be a better weapon for close quarters combat, vs. an automatic weapon.

Again to reiterate, no one with at least a 6th grade education would consider any of these compassion.

What we have here is a Rapture Righty trying desperately to seem holier than thou by skewing and twisting words to his benefit.
Children are not children while still a fetus or zygote, nor are they murdered.
Your tax dollars are not being stolen by anybody's grandfather. In fact, it is the grandfather whose social security has been stripped in order to pay for all of GW Bush's tax breaks for the wealthy.
Health care is not yet privatized (thank the heavens) and everybody's tax dollars go towards the welfare of others. Perhaps big business needs to buck up and offer insurance to it's employees.
Your child will be accepted to college if he/she is smart, willing and able. The color of his/her skin has nothing to do with the content of their brain.
Who forces your company to pay the unskilled? That seems like the employer's problem.
Public education is needed in this country, are you mad? It is obvious that not everybody can afford private schooling. Would you rather "the peasants" get no schooling at all?
Nobody wants to take away your guns. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

Ah,a "pro-life" hypocrite. Only in America, folks.Only in America.

Compassion is knowing that illeaglizing abortion only makes it more dangerous, not unaccessable.

Compassion is,unlike the conservatives, actually having programs to feed poor children.I have to laugh when the "party of life" consistently votes to cut programs to feed poor children.

This,and your other innacuracies,are deplorable.

Also,"WTF" is hardly a "moral term".

What kind of compassion does George Bush have, trying to domesticate an Islamic facist country that doesnt want us there,
wasting over 270 BILLION DOLLARS OF MY MONEY.Let's talk about "Stealing" people's money.

Then the compassion Bush has had for authorizing the use of torture, plainly visible in the photographs of Abu Ghraib.

Compassion? You have a lot to learn.States with tougher gun laws have less gun fatalities.

Why dont you go wave your wedding band at a gay couple and blow kisses like the "compassionate" bully you are?

So what is compassion?
Killing doctors because they work in womens health?
Allowing people to die of disease and old age in the streets?
Spitting on a woman who is making the most difficult decision of her life?
Taking away education for all and exchanging it with education for a few?
A kid finding your gun and killing his friend?

You don't have the slightest clue what real compassion is because you can't seem to see past the end of your nose.

I can't answer all of that, but I will say that problems like giving immigrants better choices over white people (AA) have existed before our current government. It's a good plan, I like it, but foreigners shouldn't get more than people who were born here.

Uhhh..and our current president bush is pro-guns as far as I know..he's from texas.
