Are we still looking for him?

EthanM, we captured Hitler moments after he killed himself. Dead, but found. We also found Saddam in a hole in the ground, not too long after we started looking for him. Now, why don't you answer my question.

sriously, nobody can give an answer on this, yet so many want to cite 9/11 as a reason for the war in Iraq, voting republican, etc...What the hell are you afraid of, if it isn't the person responsible for the attacks on our soil? Really, makes no sense.

Iknownot...nobody said kill. I, too would like to see him brought to justice. For EthanM and therandman, I get a little tired listening to you guys asking yourself rhetorical questions and then answering them. These are my points, and I'd like you guys to answer MY questions. Ask your own questions, on your own time.

he's hiding under the constitution. it's a good spot, i'm pretty sure we haven't looked at it in a while...

good point heidi! hitler neutralized himself when he realized how ****ed he was, so that the russians could move his corpse around for a few decades, set it on fire and dump it in the elbe.

hey ethan... think we can get osama to do that? maybe that's why we quit looking for him: we hope he'll get depressed and hang himself!

First off, The U.S. never saw Hitler's body. They saw a piece of skull with a hole in it that the Russians had found, they got to him first, but we never saw Hitler's body.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the coalition forces knew where exactly to find Osama Bin Laden. They knew where Al-Zarqawi was months before they attacked. The thing is, when they did, they made the guy into a bigger martyr than they had hoped. That guy did not have the following that Osama's got. Bin Laden is loved by more people all over the world than Zarqawi could ever had dreamed. People look at Osama as a ray of hope against the infidels of the west. If we take him out, the backlash from terrorists would be a hundred fold more than what happened in Iraq after Zarqawi's death. Al-qaeda would gain more support and grow more fierce and active than they have been since 9/11. If you want to really get things violent, kill Osama Bin Laden. If you want to take Al qaeda out with the least amount of trouble, just keep an eye on him, but let him live for now. We will get him, we will try him, and he will be made to face the crimes he committed, but taking him out now is the wrong strategy at this time.

Becuase the people that should be looking for him find him to be more valuable when hes out loose. If Bin Laden was caught, many people would think the "War on Terrorism" was over. This "War on Terrorism" is the Republican Party's main election treat. Everyone thinks that a Republican is a better war president becuase they talk so much (think though, V-day of WWII... democrat in office, government surplus and recovery from the depression. Viet-Nam.... republican in office when we loose, horrible collapsing economy.. hmmm)
Finding Bin Laden is no use to them. Besides, there is no oil reserve in whatever cave he's hiding in.
If they ever do find him, It will be right before an election... maybe October if we're lucky. I dobt it though.

Here is a thought. At what point did we capture Adolph Hitler? Answer: never. Did we still win the War? Answer: yes. Just because we haven't gotten our hands on him (assuming that he is still alive) doesn't mean that we can't win this war on terror. We have (last numbers I heard) killed or captured 75% of Al-Quida's leadership. I fully believe that we can and will win the war on terror if we are willing to endure.

No one is looking for him

Also Bush made a deal with Prince Bandar that he would not kill a member of the Saudi Royal Family.

My guess he is back home in the Royal Palace on a Princely version of house arrest.

Here's another question answer - How long did it take us to find Eric Rudolph in the mountains of North Carolina? 5 years. That's just 1 man in the mountains of NC. Population of NC is 8,049,313.

So to put it into perspective OBL (1 man) in the mountains of Pakistan, surrounded by numerous people protecting him & who don't care for us makes it alittle hard. World population is 6,446,131,400. Statistically speaking it took 5 years with 8 million so it will take much longer to find OBL. We could proably find him quicker if you would like for us to disrespect Pakistan's soveringty and nukes.

Saying.....
"We are going to smoke them out of their holes"
Then saying.....

"I don't know where Bin Landen is, Frankly I don't give much thought to him"

And the Necons want to blame Clinton for not catching Bin Laden... Bush is the one who gave him a two month head start after 9/11.

Mr. President...Here is thought...Maybe Bin Laden is thinking A LOT about you and your people!!!

I think Bin Laden has a good friends in the American Army and when the Army has everything ready to catch him, some hours before he has received an advertise, and he goes away there.
